Female fertility

ad

I've heard a lot of you guys talk about Clomid and HCG protocols to increase chances of conception for men. Well I've done some research and it seems they use the same drugs when it comes to female fertility issues. Can anyone give me some more insight on this. Also I couldn't find anything online as far as dosing protocol. My girl and I have some hurdles to clear as I would have to get a vasectomy reversal, and I don't want to go through that til we know she can conceive. Any help would be appreciated.

REALLY?!?! I was under the impression it was in the $3000-4000 range. Holy hell, one more reason I'm hoping to find a females fertility protocol online instead of going through the typical channels. I wonder if I could reverse my vasectomy myself?! I know a little about plumbing!

I definitely appreciate any info you can get me brother.

Well the long and short of it is. I was in a marriage, and we had 2 amazing kids. We decided that was all we wanted in our life was 2. Then life happened and we are now divorced. I've met an amazing woman with whom I've fallen madly in love with, and I would like to share the amazing experience of parenthood with her. Both of our first marriages ended very badly, so she will remain a GF forever as neither of us believe in marriage anymore. After all if you aren't religious, marriage is just bringing the govt into your personal affairs. I can make a commitment to a woman without bringing Uncle Sam into it. Sorry for getting off on the tangent.

Adoption is definitely on the table if we can't conceive. You just know that connection for her wouldn't be quite the same. That was actually the plan I had with my ex just in case we changed our minds and wanted more kids. We felt their was no sense in creating more when there are so many kids in need of parents already.

Another option I think people overlook too often is adopting and saving the life of a child already born.

Adopting now come on what the hell good can come from getting and orphan ;)

That's very helpful plz update this for me. Also, if its not too personal (who the hell I'm kidding its personal as hell), could you find out if she was regularly ovulating. I know that's weird to ask your boys girl, but maybe he could tell you. Anyway thanks again.

How would you determine if she could conceive if you've already had a vasectomy? She should be able to see her OBGYN or a fertility doctor and they can run tests to check her anatomy, if she's ovulating normally, and several other important tests to see if she is capable of getting pregnant. Clomid in women I believe is used to stimulate the production of follicles when she is ovulating. It won't reverse your vasectomy that's for sure.

Let me clarify. She was going to fertility dr with her first husband. She has not ovulated regularly in several years. She was about to start some kind of regimen when her ex got another girl pregnant, which led to their divorce. I'm very fertile provided my reversal would be successful (after all I got it for a reason in the first place lol). We know that there is an issue with her, we just can't afford to go the fertility dr route. Some of those treatments cost more than the actual pregnancy. If there's a way we can stimulate ovulation then we can move on to my. Vasectomy reversal.

I understand now, thanks for clarifying.

I'm not sure the clomid protocol for a female to increase ovulation but I do know that they make ovulation test kits she could use to confirm, if going to the doctor is not an option. If she has basic insurance, her obgyn can likely test all of these things and maybe even prescribe the clomid protocol. Fertility clinics often go a step further with things like IUI (intrutirinary insemination) or IVF (invitro fertilization). I really wish the best for you guys as having a family together is a special thing.

Thanks, I know in some IVF the HCG is used at a supremely high dose like 10,000iu single injection as a "trigger shot" before the eggs are retrieved. I'll be following this thread. Good luck.
