Spoon feeding new members
I know this has been discussed before. New members come on and ask something like, what's a good first cycle? Then someone comes on and answers, laying out his entire cycle with pct. For a while people would answer, do your research no one is going to spoon feed you.... that apparently ended.
For people who have no experience I like telling them this; See those tabs up top of the page? Click on all of them and read all stickies in all categories of all forums. Doing so should answer any basic question. If the stickies don't answer the question, see that little magnifying glass up there? Click it and perform a search of the site. .... though it doesn't really look like a magnifying glass, more like ping pong paddle....
I was going to title this "Hey Karma Whores!!" .. but didn't want anyone getting all super defensive and butt hurt over it. Oh, I said it anyway.
I dunno, maybe the forums would get boring, maybe they would be cleaned up. Either way... I just see it as people being lazy and other people fishing for karma.
Any new members reading this.... DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. READ THE FORUMS. THEN POST A CYCLE AND SEE WHAT OTHER THINK. ya lazy bastid.

So for my first cycle I'm gonna take Tren E, Growth, super drol, slin, and T3 what ya guys think? Yay I'm 19! :-p
The higher your karma the lower the probability is you will be challenged on a clinical point. If you are here to exchange information and in particular, learn, higher karma can work against you.
The point in doing your own research is so you actually learn something verses being told how to do it with out knowing why you are doing it. I have always felt that an eroids college would be an idea. Just a simple post which hyperlinks to sticky's. when you are finished reading and answering some questions then you get a badge, perhaps bounce you from basic to level 1/2 or something. Really one of the vets could start a group. just a thought.
RustyhookerSo you need a karma whore?
Fast48
The vets on here been bitchin bout spoonfeeding for as long as I've been here. Then i tell the young newb "go research". Guess what....some first time cycler then posts it all up chalk fulla errors.
Newest forum should be named "Where's All The Vets?"
AnonI truly believe you know what you're doing C, but you're grown. I see people here with 300+ karma points spitting out generic responses without truly understanding the way the body works. I had kids who have never run growth, arguing with me about how genetics are no better than Human grade. Ive been there, done that - researched, bloods, documented, etc - they read google documents. Thats where their advice comes from. THAT is the issue we're facing.
WithdrawlCould NOT agree any more!!! That's why I mostly only respond to questions pertaining to something I have had experience with. I think there are many guys on here with lots of karma with little experience reciting google facts or posts from other boards without actually having any real life knowledge on the topic. Don't get me wrong, there are TONS of guys on here who have so much valuable experience to share and teach. This site is the best site I've ever belonged too. Just gotta watch out for guys who parrot advice. But, it's like that on all boards, lol.
RustyhookerYour comparison is dead on....which is why i made the comment on where's the vets. I try hard to ignore the karma system and "hope" a newb understands the differences. We are definitly at the threshold where tags need to be changed so folks understand that 300karma isn't holding more weight than a VET tag. On cycle logs i spent a full day correcting this 19yo first timer with horrible cycle. Newbs were listening to this spanker.
AnonI agree 150% bro. I think at one point BFG spoke about different tags, or maybe it was giving out more "pro" tags? None the less, a lot of the "pros," and people who are at that level, don't like to be in the forums giving cycle advice.
RustyhookerForums are definitly a challenge. Which is why it keeps me there. But some days.....wow! There's the folks that refuse to learn then a newb gives a thumbs up to a bad idea...case closed. Lol! Fix me now...or fix me later. They will return....
You nailed it on the last sentence
^^^^ This!
RustyhookerYou've been here a long time! High five for still workin it!
Obama BlowsYou're right, it does look like a ping-pong paddle lol
Don't be so sensitive bro, BANG THE DRUM AND BANG IT LOUD! It's an old story and I agree with you.
http://www.eroids.com/forum/general/general-talk/spoonfeeding-the-noobies
Unfortunately the new generation is lazy and of the "I want it now" generation
AnonDamn Dude! Novice and I was talking about you the other day and wondering if you were dead. Good to see you are alive!
Dead?! Hells no... But the boys are right... Looks like "old school eroids" is dead and the idea of "the turtle" has gone the way of the dinosaur... This used to be a place of learning... Good to be back and maybe we can show these girls how THE MEN do it! :))
Anonfollowing your lead ;)
Anonnothing compares to good ol' OLD SCHOOL Eroids bro. Mostly everyone is gone though.
X2
Lol so I'm a karma whore if I lay a cycle out for someone? Maybe I just make the decision based on how they respond to other comments.. With your logic every one on this site is a karma whore.
If we told every single person that came on here to use the search engine then wtf is the point of using these forums any more? To talk shit and complain??? Seriously I would rather just go use google if every one had your attitude.
Half of them don't even know what to search.. I like to give outlines and terms for the to research.. If they don't then that's their problem.
I find it funny that u called me a douche bag w/ a fohawk from the jersey shore when u make threads like this. wat does this have to do w/ karma whores.. saying do ur research in all caps is not nice to the new memebers, fuck it let me answer their simple questions , i ll spoon feed em and u just sit back and enjoy life. we should be more welcoming..just saying
AnonI like your idea, its better than letting them get the wrong info and fuck themselves up. I also agree with you on being more welcoming.
This stuff used to be handled behind the scenes and the Vets would educate the lil bro's one on one not only on what to do but WHY... it was handled discreetly so any yo yo couldn't swing through a thread and think that it applies to them, having crib notes so you can pass the test doesn't realy help you in life in the long run... The body is in constant flux and change and part of juicing is having an intimate knowledge of your body. Throwing down a super stack at 22 years old pretty much defeats that aspect even with proper information. WE didn't have access to 100's of guys who have aleady made all of the mistakes. One of the downfalls of being young is lack of patience and discipline and if you are missing those two elements then you are missing two of the vital elements of success in this arena... In the beginning we here at eroids were trying to dispell the "pin, eat, lift" mythology and truly making an effort educate
I agree. I'll be happy to help anyone or at least tell them what they need to check out as long as they don't have a shitty attitude
It's okay I also rock the fohawk from time to time
FOHAWK POWAH
AnonI'll build cycles for anybody as long as they answer me the following;
-Define what an AI is.
-Define what a SERM is.
-Provide two examples of each of the above and the suggested starting dosage.
-Age, Height, Weight.
-Their pictures (I won't layout cycles for guys who've never put the real time in naturally).
-Define the purpose of a PCT and the tell me which receptors are involved in the usage of Clomid and Nolvadex.
If they know enough about the top and their age is right, I'll lay it out.
The problem is this - THE INTERNET. So much shit becomes the holy grail of present day usage and is regurgitated by every damn community. These 'noobs', most of them, actually do google. The problem is over the past few years the website has become so saturated with shit and articles and tens of thousands of pages, that it's confusing and frustrating so most want to cut to the chase.
A lot are willing to learn, just frustrated with reading tons of conflicting information.
Anyway, about your post;
-You defined spoon feeding.
-You told us your response to them.
-You close with 'do your own research'.
-What was the intention of this post? I thought you were going to be suggesting a new method or system, but it seems more so a rant or what 3PUMPCHUMP implied.
Anonwell fuck me, I'm already failing that test..
AnonSorry bro!
No Alliance oil for us =(
AnonI saw Mutagenic take his shoes off to count past 10 :(
thats a good idea
Ah come on dont you mean ill build anybody a cycle so long as they buy my shit
AnonShhhhhh I was just trying to hide all the 13 compound cycles I laid out for noob customers, behind that compound! x_x
LMFAO!
AnonI dont lol. You try signing on and seeing 159 new emails when you just went to bed with 0, 4 hours ago. You start to appreciate when people DONT email you back saying thank you. lol
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkAnd i thought i had it bad.
Anonwhats your email.. I'll start referring the 18 year olds who wanna gain 45 pounds of shredded muscle in 2 months before they go on vacation to you for advice.
I don't know anything about making websites or whatever to be able to suggest a new system. Maybe a message that pops up when a new user first signs in saying read the rules and read around before asking simple questions. I'm assuming something like that is possible. Maybe it was just a rant. I was kind of asking why people feel the need to spoon feed, but I guess I answered my own question.
AnonThe rules do pop up when you first join.
AnonLol that's what threw me off. I was all interested in seeing the proposal and then was like wtf?
ClassyChassisIf you are going to give advice to someone who knows nothing, then you should also explain WHY you are recommending such and such. Build a man a fire and keep him warm for a night. Set a man on fire and keep him warm the rest of his life. Or something....
The problem with people wanting to be spoon-fed is that they don't know enough to realize what they don't know, nor are they capable of discerning whether or not what they are being told is even optimal. But you're right. People are either lazy or just incapable of research, I'm not sure which.
My logic towards that is.. If a person is too lazy to research, then giving them the information is much more recommendable than not... They still won't research, I promise ;)
Instead they'll run whatever sounds good.... If you try to help them with blunt information, you at least know they read it and MIGHT look it up.
ClassyChassisI agree. I just suggested that you should also try and educate them as to "why" during the process. But that's part of the problem as well. They've spent all their lives in an educational system that teaches them that they don't need to know HOW to think, just WHAT to think.
I suppose. Just gets old reading the same thing over and over again. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood cuz I'm itching to get back on cycle....even though I'm in pct....grrrrrr
AnonWhat is this thread about?
3PUMPCHUMPkarma lol
If you're trying to imply I posted this in order to gain karma, you're wrong. I don't expect it. I'm not reaching out for it. I really don't care about it. I'm coming on 2 years here only at 53, others are still with a new tag over 200. Obviously if I cared about karma points I would constantly post information that's readily available elsewhere.
And I'm not complaining about others getting as much karma as they want, again I don't care about the karma. It bothers me that people are freakin lazy. I understand some are just trying to help, but it gets old.
