+ 3 psychological benefits of aas (a personal experience)
ive been cycling on and off for almost 20 yrs now. a long time. yes ive had some time between cycles, some short, some long. none the less ive developed a good deal of personal experience as to my own body and use. as the topic stated ive been exploring the emotional benefits of AAS. i have been going through some crap lately. i try to avoid. i enlisted in the USMC as a specialist and reenlisted as recon. i though it would be glorious. after 3 combat tours and one of the first USMC recon teams in iraq. its left some scars. so lets leave that at that. ive been on multiple anti-psychotics, depression meds, and this and that. ive noticed that while im on, im more grounded, im not depressed, i dont experience ups and downs and dramatic mood changes. also since ive made the decision to (plz dont go crazy on me) blast and cruise, which i now do under the guidance of my primary doc. i havent been on any psych meds. even my doc has noted an over all change in how well im doing. i dont think that AAS is an alternative to psych treatment or certain psych meds but i do believe for me that they have given me something back in a positive way. i can sit here and think of the things that bother me and they dont become over whelming or paralyzing. i am not in a psych med induced cloud, i have energy, motivation, a sex drive, i spend time with my family and am more productive over all. i also believe its not just the AAS but also the exercising i do that also helps, but i dont believe my emotional status would be so positive if it were not for being "ON"
does anyone else have similar experiences?
i am in no way advocating AAS in place of mental health treatment or care.

AnonBrother, you and the little lady never cease to amaze me. The both of you are beautiful and I always enjoy reading what you guys are up to. If there is ever anything I can do, PM me and we will go from there.
thank you. i appreciate that. having the ability to come here, share, and participate, earn respect and be part of this community is enough for us both. theres great ppl here, and im one who never asks for a thing nor wants a hand out. its a pride thing, not always the smartest thing but i was taught a man takes care of business no matter how difficult it is
Darron614Honestly I don't give a fuck what anyone says if something is going to improve the quality of your life and make you happy, then I say you should do it no questions asked (as long as it does not have any negative effects on anyone else).
I don't care what drug or activity or whatever. If nobody else is harmed in the process, then people should be able to do whatever they want to their body. If it doesn't affect me, then it's none of my business to say what anyone else should or should not do.
So in conclusion I support your choices and I think you look like a beast as well. So fuck the haters bro keep up the good work!
thanks and after reading your post i would have agree with your idea completely.
First off, thank you for your service and that's coming from the bottom of my heart. Now that I've gotten that outta the way. I actually think you've made a good choice staying on. If its something that positively affects the quality of your life therefor enabling you to be a better friend, husband, father, provider, etc it can't be that bad!
my woman mwagsgurly another member here, she encourages me to stay on for those reasons. she truly believes its a godsend for me . plus she likes the way i look lol
Sounds like she's got a good head on her shoulders ;)
I only have one cycle under my belt but I noticed a dramatic improvement in my mood, focus, energy and depression. I am on meds and I felt like I honestly didn't need them. I reduced the dose and I felt even better. PCT killed me and I ended up increasing the dose back to what it was.
I absolutely believed it helped with my depression and overall well being to the point where I am in the edge of making the decision to blast and cruise hopefully under doc supervision but if needed under my own supervision. I'm meeting with my psychiatrist this week and am going to discuss off the record and I trust her to keep it off the record to see what she thinks and to see about tapering off while on a cruise to see if I respond the same as when u was on cycle.
Ps. Thank you for your service! +1 for doing something I could never do.
this is similar to how i made the decision, it was not completely based on the benefits emotionally but it played a huge factor in staying on. i do get things checked often and i know from past experience some of the psych meds wreaked havoc on my organs and ive yet to see those same negatives from being on
valhallas bestdo you smoke weed? That might help my grandpa does that, said he didnt know what hed do without it he was in vietnam as a USMC
no i dont smoke, i got a neurological thingy majingy and smoking makes me a lil wacky. really it does lol. my woman equates it to a meth user after a super long bender.
Good post! No one is going to go crazy on you...at least I wouldn't if I were them:). I have been in for over 20 years now, multiple combat tours and missions. Not to mention all of my buddies, and what you are reporting about yourself I have seen happen a lot. I have not been diagnosed with PTSD or any other psychological issues as of yet but I know many who have. Also not just a few of them began their med treatment only to come off later and be fine. My theory is the farther you get away from the combat the more you start to heal mentally at least for some. This seemingly is what you are describing and it is great! So I say enjoy the new found prosperity.
AnonI am glad to hear you are doing so well
