legit prescription testosterone help
I have a legal prescription for testosterone cypionate, however my insurance sucks and it is actually cheaper for me to pay out of pocket. The problem is that the doctor wrote it for 1cc every 2 weeks, with 5 refills. Even though i am paying for it out of pocket, pharmacies won't refill it other than the time frame in which it is written. So basically, they will only give me one 10cc bottle every 5 months and the prescription is only good for a year. That means I will only get two fills a year out of the total of 6. The doctor fully understands what I am trying to do, but wants to make damn sure his ass is covered. He will not increase the dosage. Is there anything I can do to get around this? Can he write it as "use as directed" or change how many can be dispensed at once?

Do u have express scripts they give u 3 months worth for $10 at a time and will refill a month ahead of time I have blue cross blue shied and there partners with express scripts
call your insurance and see if they need a prior authorization to approve the prescription. This is a process many doctors skimp out on and as a result you have to pay full price for the prescription. I've worked in the pharmacy business for years and your trt should be paid for. If not I'd change insurance companies.
The point i'm trying to make is your doctor and your pharmacy are doing nothing wrong. The problems lies with your insurance.
I don't understand your doc wroke a prescription for 2ml per month. You get a 10ml bottle every 5 months thats 10cc per 5 months...
do you not know basic math? Your doc wrote a prescription for 10ml
your doctor is not going to write you a prescription for 500mg per week. too bad. you can't just demand a prescription for any dose you want. you're on testosterone REPLACEMENT therapy
shirlsguyPretty important question: Are you wanting to use Test as HRT or for cycling. Advice is very different depending on the goal. I mean, you can work with the program to get better dosing protocol, but if you want to use it for cycling.... well, you just have to get a plan together and advice changes dramatically.

You need to suck it up and deal with it. Then next visit tell him you feel depressed, no libido, low test symptoms after 8-10 days. That way he will divide your bi weekly dose into 2 and prescribe 1 shot per week
dont ask for higher dose say you want same dose but more frequent. so instead of 200mg per 2 weeks say you want 100mg per week for a total of 400 per month it's not like you are asking for more
BigBmajCVS is a bunch of assholes in my opinion. Go to another pharmacy, like a locally owned place and see if they will work with you.
CVS wouldn't even give me needles with my RX because they said I needed a script for them. I asked if I ought to just drink it.
you should bring an old ass hairy bent needle and say hey look this is the same needle I've used for the past 4 injections, I'd appreciate it if you would just sell me a box of needles

BigBmajI have a similar situation and I just order from some of the places recommended here. I like to get the occasional bottle of Watson cyp but its $150 out of pocket. And I don't notice a huge difference between the quality of that and some of the top sources around here. I can get 3 bottles for that price.
The other option is to have the doc write you for 1 cc bottles every two weeks. Then you can get 2 a month and go from there, that's what I was doing.
See if he will give you more than one prescription.
CVS will fill mine at a 90 day supply others will only give me the 1cc every 2 weeks go to CVS and say you want 90 day. They will fill it with a 10cc vial.
