I do 5 miles on the elliptical before each workout. Great cardio and easy on the joints.
elecshortsSwimming....70-80% full blast for 20-30 minutes at a time. Running is too much on my knees.
I hate cardio with a passion, so I always use barbell complexes or GPP work thrown in at the end of my session, a lot less boring and less time consuming than normal cardio, tho closer to shows (2-3weeks out) il throw in the LISS cardio
Bag work!! There is no cardio like hitting a heavy bag. Non stop punching for 2mins straight with 30 second breaks. Set your goal at 3mins. When I say non stop, I mean 2 punches a second. NON STOP! I promise you'll never experience anything like it again that will get your heart rate up. Other than fighting. The bag doesn't hit back.
Nice, def going to do that
Nice, def going to do that
waltrnitti i'm not a fighter or a boxer and i always find that my shoulders/biceps will hurt when i hit a heavy bag, am i just trying to throw too much weight into my punches or extending my fists to fast?
You don't need to hit it hard at all. Just the motion bro.
waltrand here i am trying to beat the bag into submission =/
Tap tap tap. Imagine your hand is not a part of your arm and you're trying to shake it off. That's how you throw a punch. Or a jab. You snap it. Like something is stuck to your hand and you need to get it off. Do that. Moderate speed and power. Not tip tap stuff but don't pound it either. Try to throw only straight punches. It doesn't have to have any rhythm. Just let your hands go. It's easier if you have music playing and get into a rhythm but you don't have to.
waltr.... Step away from the bag bro! :-(
waltri usually have to after i hit it a couple times =/
i end up feeling like i just had somebody beat my biceps with a stick or something
At the end of my session I would do that. Pound it hard!! When you're throwing a power punch at the bag, aim high! The lower you hit the bag, the better the chances of hurting your hands. And you want to imagine the target is behind the bag. Punch through your target. Through the bag. That's how a power punch is thrown. And I hope you're wrapping your hands? U can buy cheap everlast hand wraps from models. They work fine. You can google the correct way to do it so you don't injure your hands or wrist. Do you have a speed bag or access to one?
waltrjust the heavy bag and it's really just something i was doing for the hell of it, i'm not a regular on using it or anything. i could probably buy one and hang it up though, then i'd have both to play around with
The speed bag is where I make magic!
my first time hitting a bag was a few months back... I thought I was gonna be a big bad ass and just walk up and hit it HARD! To my surprise... Thought I broke my hand!! I was like omg! Idiot move on my part... However it was pretty funny, once the throbbing stopped. Much respect to anyone doin bag work...
25 minutes of shooting hoops. The running, jumping, shooting gets the heart rate up and it works!! Not to mention a hell of a lot more fun than doing a boring bike or treadmill.
AnonI like to do interval sprints, I also really like the rowing machine as well.
I like the HIT cardio. Sprint a minute, walk a minute. For 20 minutes. Short, sweet, and effective.
i like the eliptical, especially if theres a fitness class with a bunch of sexy bitches.
u already know i ll be there big boy
Depends on what you are training for.
Mine would have to be warming up with a full stretch ( you will read why).
5 3 minute rounds of 16lb sledge hammer- 15 reps choke up grip each side. then use a no choke up grip(hold handle all the way at the bottom) 15 reps each side. Then 1 arm hold sledge hammer at the base, rest sledge hammer at your side, clean and jerk it straight up in the air using only your arm, no swinging ( you might want to start with an 8-10 pound sledge for this so you don't bust your face or head) then slam it down on the tire - 15 x each side. about a minute rest in between each round.
then 5- 3 minute rounds of laying a tire flat on the ground. squatting in front of it. gripping the inside closest to you, and in one fluid motion stand up and throw it as far over your head backwards as you can. sprint to it. pick it back up. do it again. Use about a 60-80 pound tire to do this. 1-2 minute rest between each set.
waltrthat does sound like a serious work out.
i might do the sledge hammer part for some extra ab work
Nice man that's a work out all by it self, awesome
Gym cardio 25 mins Stair Master, 25 on either elliptical or Bike... Outside of the gym.. Sex!
BigBmajWalking steps with my toes for calf development, cycling hard, or sprinting.
Tried running once, and my knees hurt for a week straight.
Since then only low intensity, like a walk in the woods or something, really enjoyable and relaxing too.
Walking isn't cardio unless you're elderly
LISS is still considered cardio. A lot of pros walk for an hour or so for cardio.
waltri find that hard to believe to be honest. a guy who is trying to cut 20 lbs for a competition is doing WAY more than walking for an hour...
now just general cardio for the hell of it maybe but i highly doubt that's all of it
It depends on how much time you have to cut. But Marc Lobliner on youtube said that his prep coach told him to walk for up to 2 hours a day because he was too heavy to run, he would overwork his legs and possibly damage his knees. And he is "only" 225 or so lbs, he is relatively short but still, it's not that heavy. And this is kind of the same experience i had.
Just my opinion thoug, maybe my running technique was fucked up or something.
waltri'm only about 200lbs and it hurts my knees =/
i stick to the elliptical for my cardio
Nothing wrong with that, it still burns calories and that's the most important thing.
Stairclimber! I put on a movie on my phone and it makes time fly!
"favorite type of cardio" Isn't that an oxymoron?I hate cardio, but I run on the treadmill.
Elliptical I think is most practical, Sprinting/Intervals is the most beneficial, and the Row MAchine is def my fav, I always have a nice pump on arms and back after 2k to 5k on the row machine, haven't don't 5k in a couple months though..gonna do it tomorrow!!! BOOM
Hell yea idt anything beats that rowing is a killer for sure
waltreliptical, it's easy on my knees
eliptical and bike
Banging my girl
Definitely my type of cardiovascular work. If your missus has low sex drive get her on cycle taking NPP. Turns them into a wild woman in the bedroom
BigBmajHow much should she take?
No more than 100mg a week, break the dose up for multiple injections during the week. She will grow like crazy as well. The short ester allows her to keep the sides under control
BigBmajThanks bro. Ill try it out.
Ill let you know how it works.
Be warned!!!!!! She will turn into an animal wanting it 3-4 times a day mate. Your cock will be sore
