+ 1 I got some bad advice from a health 'guru' homeopathic Doc friend of mine regarding HCG dosing

ad

So I have a good buddy of mine been friends for a really long time. I broach the subject about TRT. The guy is in phenomenal shape, and he won't eat anything unless its organic, etc. We both admit at our age, we have to dose some test every now and again since we are over the hill. I wondered how he stayed in such good shape all these years. He has probably been sipping from the sweet nectar of life's chalice for a while. No big deal. I ain't judging.

Anyway, we start talking about HCG, I say I'm taking 250 IU 2x per week, then he recommends 250 IU ED and that I'll feel great. That is an increase of 500 IU to 1750 IU per week. I'm on blast cycle and doing labs every 2 weeks. So I follow his advice and switch to dosing HCG 250 IU ED and have been doing so for the past two weeks. Then I do lab work, and get back the results. HOLY SHIT! My estrogen is through to roof 450+ pg/ml and that is with .25 ml adex ED. Thank God I'm doing lab work every two weeks. Word to the wise. Always do lab work, especially if you are tweaking stuff. $50 bucks is cheap for a piece of mind. So I'm backing off the HCG, and taking some Aromatase to clear out the estrogen. I'm glad I caught this early because I don't have any gyno symptoms yet.

Here is a posting of the lab results -> http://www.eroids.com/pics/test-still-pegged-2313-on-blast-but-putting-t...

Lesson Learned:
1) High daily doses of HCG like 250 IU do aromatize big time. The fad hcg diet craze going on right now, especially men who dose every day on that need to check their estrogen levels.
2) Keep your max dosage of HCG at 250 IU 2x per week for 500 IU/week
2) Always always always do lab work especially when you are tweaking stuff. It is the most worthwhile investment you'll ever spend for $50 bucks (with a discount) because once you get one, they send you discount codes regularly for 15% off all the time.

That's because hcg converts to estrogen. Use this as an exlple of what to not do when taking advice. Next time research that advice before you pull the trigger.

By the way, nothing beats 'in the field' research with a willing live subject (self) and measurable lab test. I knew hcg would aromatize, but I just didn't know the magnitude. Now I know. A lot.

What is odd is that I have been slowly starting to take this guys advice with a grain of salt because most of the time it is over the top, unrealistic, and unachievable. But somehow he manages his strict routines. But he speaks with such authority and knowledge, so who am I to dispute him. He is a hard core researcher himself, but on the fringes of extremism. Anyway, nobody is perfect. He's still my friend and will continue to be.

The average juiced up gym rat has been pumping hormones in their bodies for a while and never fully understanding the physiological impact. To them it makes sense. But just because it looks good on the outside doesn't mean everything is ok on the inside. You're on the right track tho.

I had been dosing at 250 IU 2 x per week, and my labs where coming back at an estrogen range of 24 -16 ng/ml. So my estrogen was really stable at that dose. My nutsack was still shriveled up from time to time at that dose. I had heard all the buzz about the hcg diet craze of people doing this every day, and then him telling me to do it every day. So I though why not? I could always use a larger scrotum sack. Now I know why not. I had no idea it would aromatize that much. I just wanted to share with the community why you don't want to get jacked up on too much hcg unless you want gyno problems. Don't follow the herd that you know is headed toward the cliff. L8R bros.

Did you get an entire hormone panel for 50$?

budzang's picture

I wouldn't call it 'entire'. It is a basic hormone panel. It looks like this in one of my previous labs from 2 weeks ago -> http://www.eroids.com/sites/default/files/gearpic/33911/lab-03292013-bla...

It doesn't capture 'free test', cholesterol, and some other pertinent data for men.

Do you know if they can ad in prolactin?

budzang's picture

The prolactin one combined with estrogen, test, is a high dollar test.

Probably the better one is the 'Male Athletic Anti-Aging Panel' which includes prolactin. It is high dollar. A few 'Benjamin's' and a 'Grant' at least..

Lol damn! That's what I was thinking! Thanks for the help brother.
