Alright I see all kinds of Topics on all kind of different things. So here's one ? What Kind of dog or dogs do you have?? The reason I ask is when I was younger I had a great friend that was a big boy 250 lbs 10% bf he was only 5'6" with no cardio his dog fit his personally ! He had a English Mastiff. They say dogs are mans best friends??
Pmob has 2 Great Dane and 1 English bulldog. Love em !

I have two dogs... A 9yr old pit/American Eskimo mix and 10mnth old pit/lab mix. Lost my beautiful boxer a year ago.
Pitbull and love them both to death. I know they get a bad wrap but i blame the owners. Ive had them all my life and have always been great dogs and never had any agression issues towards people.
Yes you have to blame the up bringing ! My best friend had a Blue pit that was afraid of everything and very loving !!
We have a Persian Cat.. Whose eyes are as big as his head. We also have a blue nose pit on the way..

AnonThey cant be great, or terrible. You really need to consider your lifestyle and the environment. These dogs will not tollerate being left home alone all day, and need a lot of space to stretch their legs.
As far as the long hair, some are short haired but its far less common.

I have working dogs.. gsd's, belgian malinois, and dutch shepherds ....
Border collie mix and a French mastiff mix...I like rescue dogs so I won't have a pure bread unless one is up for adoption
Alot of people won't go with pure breads anymore. Some times I don't blame them !
I love all dogs but around me there are a lot of kill shelters and it crushes me...at least if I adopt one I feel like I do my part, it's a growing problem tho

german shepherd and dalmation cross. I'm not covered in dots but i did go through a phase of shedding my hair just as fast as the shepherd at one stage.
Just spent an hour brushing my German Shepherd followed by an hour of cleaning his fur balls around the house. This an every other day ordeal. Im not even sure where all the fur comes from, the depths of hell maybe? He's an awesome dog and wouldnt trade him for anything, but he's convinced me to go with short hair breeds in the future.
I think the German Shepherd will be my next dog.
