Can you take oral AAS sublingually?
ad
Always wondered about this. I am talking about normal tablets, not anything designed for sublingual administration. Like say a 10mg DBol tablet, if u let that sit under the tongue till it is completely dissolved, does it work? Does that bypass the liver? Or does it pass by the liver as when swallowed since it is methylated?
The question struck me because my friend was arguing about Methyl Tren. He said that instead of getting the injectable (which is usually 2500mcg/ml) that has the advantage of bypassing the liver for the first time, he can just take the oral form (CENSORED) sublingually and that would have the same effect..
Interested to hear opinions about this.

both rectal and sublingual administration of oral meds allows bioavailability to varing degrees!
most oral meds work BETTER when used rectally bc it bypasses first pass metabolism only the act of using this route is the pain in the ass! Pun def intended
Lol
most sublingual use works less effective than the original oral use although f stomach pain occurs then SL is the next best thing!
LOL, Ill suggest that to my friend
Weird u say that about SL, most medicine usually work better SL than oral route. Were u talking about oral AAS in particular or all medicine?
If they are designed to be SL then yes most meds have a greater absorption rate, but overall most meds be it an oral preparation will be greatly absorbed via the oral route vs SL; simply because the pill wasn't made to dissolve that manner and will result in much slower absorption.
So I agree with you on the route SL being faster and more effective than oral as a route; although only with meds made for SL!
Some meds are specific SL b/c the body destroys them when used orally, so it's def a viable route to use with some meds!
What if you inserted it anally? Try it n let us know lol
Not fun. Multivitamin tablets on the other hand.. ;)
sgtstedankoLike j said. EVERYTHING that you put into your body passes through your liver... I, personally like liquid orals under my tongue, & chewing pills up : )
Thanks for the answer. So basically even absorption rate is the same? I heard one benefit from my friend about the Oral Tren. He says that if he swallows the pill with an empty or pseudo-empty stomach, he gets mild stomachache. However with sublingual, no pain whatsoever. I think as long as sublingual works too, this is a good advantage for those who experience stomachache.
I wonder if this is also true for people who experience heartburn with certain orals..
sgtstedankoI wouldn't know, brother. I haven't had a tummy ache, in decades
As for heartburn, I don't think there's anything we can do bout that. Except prilosec & tums, t, t tum, tums...
You dang pill muncher lmao.. Jk jk bro.
I bet they don't taste like skittles that's for sure
sgtstedankoMeh. Doesn't bother me... I must have no taste buds. Honestly wash them down w/grape or grapefruit juice & creatine
Never tried that b4, i might try chew me some adrol tomorrow before workout.
Just take it by mouth. Seriously. It STILL passes through the liver because it is in your blood stream. Quit trying to reinvent the wheel
Thanks for the input, but the negativity was not needed. I asked a question to learn from those who know better. I'm not taking anything, or trying to reinvent the wheel.. This was a question subject to discussion. That is all.
Oh I didn't mean that comment in any rude or negative manner. I meant there's no need to because by mouth is an effective way. I also explained that it still pisses through the liver, so I was adding to the discussion
My bad then
Since they are meant to be taken orally, swallowing is definitely an effective way. But I was questioning other possibilities as well. My friend has no stomachache when he takes SL vs swallowing, so if the absorption is the same in both cases, SL might be superior for him. I was also thinking about the possibility of preventing heartburn that some orals might cause...
