HCG causes negative feedback loop?
ad
I've read that several places. If it's true and the point of HCG during and post-cycle is too help jumpstart your natural t-levels... wouldn't the use of it in any dosage be counter-productive?
I'm confused and welcome an educated discussion.

These were two labs I had drawn just before pct and 18 days into pct after an HCG regiment of 2500 eod for 16 days. My LH and FSH are almost back to normal. By now I am sure they are.

here we go..everyone is right
The excessive stimulation brought forth by administration of HCG can likewise cause the testicles to rapidly return to their normal size and level of activity. We are not simply looking for it to fix the problem however, as the resulting high testosterone level can itself trigger negative feedback inhibition at the hypothalamus. Estrogen production is also heightened with the use of HCG, due to its ability to increase aromatase activity in the Leydig’s cells. This is due to the main action of HCG, namely the increase of cycIicAMP (a secondary messenger that regulates cellular activity). When stimulated by HCG, the ability of the testes to aromatize androgens could potentially be heightened several times greater than normal. This also may inhibit testosterone production, so we therefore use HCG only as a quick shock to the testes.
The usual protocol is to inject 1500-3000 I.U. every 4th or 5th day, for a duration usually no longer than 2 or 3 weeks. If used for too long or at too high a dose, the drug may actually function to desensitize the Leydig’s cells to luteinizing hormone, further hindering a return to homeostasis.
I'm gonna look for the study...this is confusing for me
i use it towards the end of the cycle from week 6 to 12. i never used it post cycle so i cant answer ur question. but u have to understand that it does help ur balls on cycle or off cycle
helps my balls look fuller...but not really the natural action my balls are supposed to take as a direct result of PCT. I mean...sure...it's great, assuming I've already shut down my body's ability to produce test naturally from extended TRT.
AnonCounter productive would be goin from high dose test to no dose test.. Adding a little hcg will just help keep ur balls working and help get the natty test back into production!
well sure..I've run it during to prevent total shut down but I've had TRT docs and a lot of other credible sources prescribe it for PCT and it just doesn't make sense to me...the whole point of a PCT is to get your balls producing naturally again....if HCG during a post cycle (say 6-800mg a week split in 2) is gonna cause a negative feedback and less LH will be produced naturally....is that not counterproductive?
HCG doesnt act like a steroid, HCG tells your pituitary gland that you need more Testosterone so your body produces the Testosterone naturally. Were as steroids, your injecting yourself with Testosterone, so your body reacts by producing less T/shutting down because you already have enough. HCG can stop this shutdown and keep your natty T going while still on AAS
AnonThe negative feedback is what tells ur hpta to produce more test i dont see how that is counter productive.. Ive never even used it so mate im just sharing my thoughts here.. Maybe one of the advanced blokes will fill us in
