Working out late in the evening ort at night

Often my job requires me to work late in the evening or even at night. Is it ok to work out for example after midnight, if i know that i won't go to bed soon. How in this case should i have my meals. Waiting for you suggestions. Thanx

People like to avoid higher carb meals later in the day, but this is why I believe training later is a great thing! You're able to eat carbs throughout the day, and you should ALWAYS have a complex carb source before you train. This allows you to have your carbs later as well, and since you're training late, you put the carbs to use rather than just storing them up over night and become a fat ass. Jay Cutler trains around midnight quite often.
So I been doing it wrong? Cause I don't have a complex carb source before my late workout, and I stop my carb intake around 1:00 PM. There is more than one way! You ALWAYS eat and train in relationship to your goals.
I workout after I get off work. I get home I drink a protein shake before workout and hit the gym twenty minutes later. Do not eat any carbs till atleast a half hour later then you can go straight to eating a meal. You can drink a bcaa shake directly after tho. The reason you wait is because your growth hormone is at its height thirty minutes after workout. If you eat it totally throws that off. Go to youtube and type in Kai Greene and trainer conference in Sweden or something like that and he breaks the whole process down.

Its funny watching such a huge guy try to be all philosophical. He's like that in his training also.
I always work out late too.. As long as your getting it done and eating your meals. The time itself does matter much. I always can't sleep until 2 hours after tho. It gives me time to cook my meals for the next day shower then finally go to sleep.
Have your meals the same way. Every 3 hours! Time is just how people keep track of things. I mostly workout late, after Mrs.Fit gets home from work. In bed 1-4 hrs after, sleeping 1-1.5 hrs after that! LOL ;-P
