wrist curls more harm than good?
ad
When working arms (i usually do foremarms on w/e day i do bi's) i like reverse grip curls bc it also get the forearm along with bi's(at least the top part)
But what about wrist curls do u guys do um? Are they worth it bc it seems to me they put to much strain on the wrist?
If not what exersise do u guys do for forearms ...if any or do u just work normal exercises and they work the forearm?

Man I am shocked that anyone gets results doing wrist curls, for me they have always sucked donkey balls (no pain, just did nothing). I get A) the most retarded pump in the whole forearm and B) the best mass gain from doing: A) high rep gripper, like 30-40 reps per set (x2-3 sets), EVERY workout and B) fully opening my hand after/between every rep. I use a smooth cadence, no rush, controlled negative. When I was doing really heavy grippers (COC #2 for 10 sets of 3) I didn't get shit all in the way of size (almost closed a #3 though), switched to high rep stuff and my forearms blew up.
i've been wrist curling for forearms for over 4 years, no problems here except for vascular arms
AnonHow many sets all together for small muscle groups like these?? Like calves, traps and forearms?
After I do bis/tris I start forearms with reverse curls and then I do palm up forearm curls over a bench. I also do palm down forearm curls over a bench. Anyone else do these? Palm up I can rep like 100lbs but palm down I can only do like 30lbs. Then I do some behind the back standing and finish with the gripper machine.
Palms up dumbbell curl over bench. Kneeling down on the floor I rest my arms with palms facing up with just where my wrist bends over the edge. This stabilizes the wrist and elbow from moving and isolates just the forearm muscles. Grab some heavy dumbbells and curl until fatigue. I don't roll to my fingers as heavy weight causes strain on the tendons.
Standing barbell squeezes. Arms straight down, narrow grip 6 inches apart, and using just fingers pull the barbell up. This I hit with the heaviest I can do til fatigue.
During deadlifts my forearms feel like they're going to explode. So that works as well too.
i like to do reverse curls at the end of my work outs
Ditto, last exercise I do.
I do forearms on bi days too bro, like M666 says behind the back is the way to go!
reverse grip curls are great.... you can try standing barbell wrist curls behind the back. the little plastic tube advice isn't that great if you are trying to develop strong/big forearms..... go buy yourself a captains of crush
the best thing is to buy a pbc plastic tube drill a whole in it tie a rope onto it and then clip the rope onto a machine from the bottom and roll the rope around the tube then do the same in reverse. those burn more than anything...
My forearms are killing me everytime I do any heavy curling:(
I do wrist curls with my elbows down on the bench, works very well and have never had a issue with strain on wrist.
Forearms I do deadlifts..
