after a major storm like this after assesment is done, first lines to go back up would be transmission lines ,if they were damaged.The 115,000v to 500,000v lines that tie the generation plants to the substations.They tie the substations together on the grid.Next would be the subtransmission lines like 27,500v,34,500v etc.these would feed the distribution lines that feed most major cities, or towns or counties etc.from there the major lines or "backbones" that feed metro areas, with police stations,firehouses,restuarants ,hotels etc would be next.Its not that they are chosen as if more important,its just their location is usually centerd in the same area as the feeders like a downtown for instance.From there you have the single phase, well, one leg of three phase power that branch off the "Backbones" and feed residential areas and neighborhoods.Restoration is about gettin as many numbers back online as soon as possible ,after assesment is done its pretty much going through the order from source, transmission,subtransmission,distributiion,major feeders,smaller feeders,single lines, then individual services ie: small little lines that feed homes. Still cleaning up after that monster storm.Some friends of mine say the same thing about weather manipulation.I called bullshit at first but after reading a bit about it the idea doesnt seem too far fetched.Hurricane isaac made landfall 7 years to the day of hurricane Katrina.Sandy made landfall one year to the day of a nasty noreaster that hit the northeast last year.Now you hear on the news about how sandy will disrupt the election, create a boom in the economy come january or february,just in time for the elected puppets beginning term.Now a small earthquake happens in northern jersey.Im not saying that all this was caused by the powers that be as a weapon of Mass Distraction, but the technology has been and is available to make it happen.Just makes you wonder sometimes ya know.
