How would Deca affect a Dr TRT blood test ?
Hi,
Been taking deca for the last 8 days with test e. 3 shots so far 750 mg (each - deca and Test e) total for the 3 deca shots. Will this drive up my test level? I'm just asking about the deca here - I know i need to wait 3 weeks or so for the test e to clear out. From what I have found out doing research is that I don't think deca will show up in the testosterone test - it would not raise levels - just trying to confirm that so I can continue using it for the joint lube effect.
I unexpectedly got my Dr to start me on TRT after a real low blood test 2 weeks ago. I didn't know it came back so low so i started self medicating but I was only 3 shots in when she called me in to talk about my test.
Another question - while I'm waiting for the test e to clear out for this test - would using test prop be a better idea? I would just stop 5 days before I take the blood test.
Thx - TN

tread-mI don't see any stats here just skimming through but may have missed them. Looks like you have a lot of joint issues so I would ask if you are supping glucosamine/chondroitin and suspect you are, I would add turmeric for healing properties and then personally consider the discussion about full on hrt cruising hgh low dose. I have done so for some time and the combination of the above has made me much younger in the way I feel. I had knee's that gave me hell from sports and mainly running 20 miles of pavement every week in the boxing days and tendonitis in the arms, all of which is gone. No tendon issues at all and knee's feel 20 again. Your issues with surgery etc make yours worse than mine were but even if you had a 50% improvement thats something. Then you have to look to the simple support your joints get with more and stronger muscle. I read a study once where they went into retirement centers and got volunteers to lift light weights for a number of weeks. Many very light weights obviously but the effect was dramatic in that people with joint issues reported much fewer issues and some had total joint recovery with no more issues at all. Supporting the obvious I think that good muscle is crucial to joint support and health. No, not comparing you to the elderly (lol) but the science is the science. I'm someone who believes you hit a problem from 10 angles knowing one angle or combinations of some of the angles will help or eliminate the issue. Joints are no different in that you hit them from many directions and between healing properties, lubricants and new cell growth there is a good chance you have at minimal, a better scenario. If you wish to discuss hgh further I'm happy to do so.
Hey tread - thx for the response. I thought wow man maybe i sound like an iod guy - comparing me to people in retirement homes - too funny! The hgh is a great idea but I'm going to have to stay away from that due to different types of cancer running in the family - I know hgh makes everything grow faster and can cause some problems in folks with the wrong family history / genetics. I believe hgh would do me just a world of good though. I have used glucosamine/chondroitin/msm extensively in the past along with tumeric and didn't get any results. I'm only 44 and all my joint issues are a result of judo injuries in my late 20's early 30's - used to compete - was nationally ranked -all that shit - but it boils down to the fact that it's a young mans sport. I didn't start until I was 28 - damn what a great time it was. I agree with hitting issues from all angles and maybe the combination of the different strategies will yield some improvement.
Thx again for the suggestions. Good luck with everything man! TN
Ok thing are more clear now, thanks. Like I said, I would go off everything for the time being. Your Doc seems pretty conservative with the TRT. Every other week sucks. You get too many peeks and valleys. I like to feel constant and good all the time, not just good around my shots. My endo has me on every 5th day with adex and Hcg. I feel great. Also it is good to be honest with your endo on what you got going on so they know what is going on with your labs. Tell the Doc what you have been doing over the last few weeks just in case your test does come back high. If you don't, your Doc may want to back you off and I know you don't want that. Also I don't like deca with low test because of Deca dick. It is a real problem. Especially if you are single. Just my two cents.
Hey Swoll -
Thx for the response - I think that may be the best way to go. Just be honest with her if it boils down to that.
I hear you with the deca dick and all. That's why I was runnin the test e and deca together before the test to avoid the dreaded double D. I was planning on staying with 300 test / 200 deca a week just to get the deca in there for the joint benefits. I have an arthritic knee (8 surgeries) and shoulder (3 surgeries) so I'm basically looking to treat that. I've had a number of surgeries on both of them. So I'm looking to the AAS to gain some strength and help with healing as opposed to run big cycles and get huge - my f---ed up joints just cant take the pounding any more -I just can't carry the extra body weight. I'm only 44 but damn it with my screwed up joints. I'm just looking to feel good man!
So what exactly is going on here? I am having a hard time following. Did your Doc start you on your prescribed TRT yet? I am no guru but I am on TRT myself and cycle a few times a year. My advice would be to go off everything while you are getting on TRT and going through all the blood testing. Get going with your prescription and get leveled out and then start your cycle the way you want in to be with no problems. Plus you get adex and Hcg a lot of times from doc that you can use while on cycle. Also from what I understand Deca does not show up on total test and free test blood results. It does screw up my cholesterol test though.
Hey Swoll -
What happened was I went for a blood test with my endo about 3 weeks ago and never heard anything back. The feeling I got from her was she felt I was not really a good canidate for TRT. Well I didn't hear back from her after the test for 3 weeks so I assumed my test level came back high since I went off the androgel 2 days before the blood test. I was started on the androgel by the PA who referred me to this endo about 3 months ago.
Well Thursday 8/16 I started my own TRT since I was not feeling any benefit with the gel. Still tired and unfocused. I did a 200 mg shot of test e and 150 mg of deca - I repeated this in Sunday the 19th and Thursday the 23rd with the slight change of less Test e more like 150mg fo the last 2 shots coupled with 150 mg of deca. Well Thursday 8/23 I get a call in the late afternoon from my endo saying she would like to see me to discuss the results of my blood work from 3 -4 weeks ago. This is after i took my Thursday shot of test e / deca. So I go in Friday am 8/24 to the endo and my test came back so low that she wanted me to up my androgel to 4 -5 pumps a day. I talked her into shots and she gave my my first test cyp shot that day the 24th - i will be on an every other week dose to start. She wanted me to come back in for a blood test 1 week after this 1st shot which would be Fri 8/31. I think my results will come back real high cause of the 3 test e / deca shots I also did over the previous 8 days with UGL compounds.
I know I'll need @ least 3 weeks to let the UGL test E clear out before the test (I want an accurate reading so I can get the script for every week shot of test cyp - pharm grade) so I plan on going in for the blood test 1 week after the next shot which will put me @ 22 days after my last UGL test /deca shot. I'll have to get out of this apt coming up this Friday.
My question is can I continue with the 300 mg of deca and NOT affect my test in 3 weeks? I want to stay on for joint pain relief. I will also be safe with using Test Prop for those 3 weeks and stopping 5 days before the test.
Just wondering what other member's thoughts were on this - will deca drive my testerone up or would i be cool just staying on it? From what I have been reading it looks like no it will not drive my test up. Just looking on some confirmation on that and also that 3 weeks off a long ester test like Test E will be out of my system and will not affect my bloods Friday 9/14. I'm a relative noob and this is my first cycle injecting - and I can't fuckin wait to see how good I'll feel once I'm mid - cycle. I'll do whatever it takes to get the EW script eve if it means totally fuckn up this 1st cycle.
Let me know - - THX!!
