Starting TRT at 33

ad

My Urologist just prescribed me Test Cyp.(Watson) at 200mg every 14 days to start. He told me the dosage will increase according to how I feel regardless of the how high my T count will be after bloodworks. He is a really good doctor and is all about going by the patients input rather than numbers on a print out. First prescription has 5 refills, lmao. The initial pinning will be in his office to teach me and I'll be pinning at home from that point on. Bloodwork will be done every 3 weeks. The prescription didn't include AI's or serms. I have ugl stuff but should I ask for a prescription at my next appointment or wait to see how I respond? Any words of wisdom or advice?

When I started TRT I received 200mg test cyp every 14 days and it really did take me on a roller coaster ride as blood levels. For me 200mg every 7 days worked much better. But zewi's advice below is perfect if you want to stay on the same prescribed dosage without the drop in blood levels as opposed to every 14 days.

Pankration, How long have you been using TRT? Does your doctor take you off TRT every so often with a PCT?

Thanks for the advice, I will ask for more needles now.

I can tell you that my numbers were around 175. the range is 200-800, it takes about 350mgs a week of test -e. to get me up to 625, the docs will not give you that much ,after going back and forth with them the docs. it was better to use eriods and much cheaper. thay are going crazy with bloods, every 3 weeks .you only need blood test every 1/2 year. but if you have alot of doe, and insurance . and time go for it.

If 350mg puts you in the 6is you need to see a endo fast. Research the labs test tab, not bashing you just genuinly concerned.

Fortunately my insurance covers 100% for TRT. Not a single cent out of my pocket regardless of office visits, bloodwork or prescriptions.

What were your test levels? I just posted bloods and was wondering about visiting a doc to see about getting on trt.

My Test level was at 200 which is barely par by 25. Doc said it was up to me on whether or not to start TRT.
