+ 4 23 and TRT?
Ok guys before you vets beat me into living pulp let me explain my honest situation
I'm 23 years old. I have been working out since I was 16-17, and played ball in high school. Around when I turned 18 I got really into working out, but I was always so tired. I've always had a laid back personality so I thought that maybe it was just me. Now up until this point of course I had nev touched anything besides some muscle milk, which at the time I thought was pretty hardcore. Well as I continued to diet hard and workout hard I did have some progress. I lost about 40 pounds but no matter how hard I worked and how clean I ate I had that skinny but fat look. So after about 6 months of no progress I went to the doctor. He suggested getting my hormone levels checked. The results came back and it all made sense. At the age of 18 I had a natural testosterone level of 200. My natty free testosterone was 40. My doctor suggested hormone therapy, he suggested I tried testosterone for a short period of time, telling me it was possible to kick start my system. So I took the plunge. I did 3 months of testosterone injections got tested midway and my levels were 1000, which my doctor was cool with as long as they didn't get any higher. After the three months my doc had me on an aggressive pct. I waited and continued to work out and eat healthy. Shortly after stopping the injections I lost a lot of my gains. My doctor had the levels checked again and they came back testosterone 190 free was around 40 still I believe. So I continued to do this 3 month testosterone plan in which I would grow like a monster while doing it. (250mg a week) well here I am 23 and my levels have never improved. I have been prescribed many fertility drugs and nothing has raised my levels significantly. My doctor now suggest doing TRT therapy. Now I'm not some kid who has the lack of research, and wants to stay on test forever because it's "cool" unlike others I spend hours of time researching weekly sometimes daily. I ask many vets on here questions and they help a lot. Thanks GS, And tread you guys have helped a ton. So now I'm at the time where I think I should make the decision. My goals are not to look like Ronnie Coleman or Jay cutler, instead just to be healthy and have the results that I bust my ass for. My concerns with TRT isn't the inability to have kids down the road, which I don't want anyway, not sure if I even could because my LH levels are almost non existent naturally. My real concern is the reading that I do on this site, where guys say that if you start the test early down the road you will need more and more to grow. I've researched this and I can't find medical evidence that one needs a gram of test to grow, unless of course you are at a superhuman physique like Ronnie or jay. But that isn't my goal, but I do want a solid muscular physique year round not just while on on the test. I grow tremendously on 500mg a week and I don't plan on upping it anytime soon. So what do you vets think out there? What do you suggest? I know it's my decision but I trust many of you vets and your opinions. I think many of you know more about hormones than any doctors do. So please help a bro out. I'm open to suggestions and any advice. Thanks

Bro it is possible that you are just hypogonadal plain amd simple. I am 23 and am on trt as well exfept i did it to mysekf. I took a lot og gear when younger and never recovered and after 2 years trying i was finally put on trt. If you have a good sex drive, erections, energy levels, etc then i wouldnt suggest it just for looking a little better because i am surethere are ways that you habe not tried yet. If however you are experiencing negative effects in all these areas and have been for some time now then your besg bet hust might be trt. I am not a doctor and i am not telling you to do trt at 23 i am just statimg my experience and opinion. Good luckman
cdaddy7Now he's changed his name......the new and improved cam2012!!! Now if we can just get ur low t under control ur golden
Lol yea bro we will see soon I'm goin hard on this pct I been joggin the beach as part of my pct change it up. Mannnnnn there are some whores.... I mean beautiful women in Florida
Just a thought. When I was a little kid I smashed my head on a table busted my head open had to get stitched up. That was the only bad thing I can remember as far as accidents. Nothing after that until my teens when I'd constantly kicking ass or getting my ass kicked lol. Any way that could be connected? Or does the accident need to be directly related to the nuts???
It's possible, the Pituitary gland is located at the base of the brain. My injuries were from 2 traumatic spinal injuries. So it doesn't have to be injuries directly to the testes.
cdaddy7Yeah GS but It's more towards the center of the base behind the sinus cavities and well guarded but possible but i would think it would have to major trauma to the head and would b brain damage r something. But ur correct on the spinal trauma
I'm just gonna conclude that I inhearited bitch-ness genes from my father. He's a bitch anyway lol
Anonwow.. that's funny. needed a "like" button for this one. lol
cdaddy7For u its all the same...LOL
TxBigBoyI started trt at 24 and it was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Like you I never even considered steriods before my doctor suggested them. I too was worried about having to take more and more as the years go and eventually you will if your still trying to grow larger, but once your get to the point physically you want to be at just running a maintenance cruise you will be able to maintain at low doses.
I started at 24 as well before thinking of running a cycle. Only regret is not starting earlier. Had libido of an old man during my early 20s :(
TxBigBoySame here, I spent probably a year feeling like shit before I went into a doctor for it. Another 2 months of crap tests and finally figured out the problem.
So what do you guys dose at? Or what did you dose at at 24? Have you guys gone up since?
I'm still 24, haha. 125-150 mg test cyp/week, 1 shot. My # is in upper third, so I'm staying here for the time being.
TxBigBoyI cruise at either 200mg of cyp a week, or 25-35mg of prop ED, just depends on what I'm coming off of from a previous cycle and how I feel.
Fr sent bro
TxBigBoygotcha
Thanks you guys I love hearing all of your opinions. @zewi yea bro thanks I read that post earlier today GS pointed me to it. Very good read and great information
zewiGood read. in-case you want kids. Read this. http://www.eroids.com/forum/steroids-qa/pct-anti-estrogens/pct-for-trt-f...
As for me, TRT because of taking Gear at 18, and not doing it right..
The ride can be hard but your life is not over. I have friends that are on TRT and were worried about the same thing. "Im going to have to take more and more" No that is not the case. 250mg test per week is good. However, over time it will rise slowly with age
And from there and if your Diet is clean.
You can always run a cycle.
there are good and bad things about TRT at a young age will i be able to have kids. How does this effect my body as i get older..
This is all about Diet, research and understanding you not trying to be Ronnie, you just want to be looking good for the rest of your Life. No your body no your supplements no your goals and you will be fine.
You can PM me anytime..

Nice to see a full picture of everything. You know i bark a LOT but you also see dudes post one sentence. They deserved it....lol. What your asking/doing is NOT ifbb daydreams but a real fact of life outside the gym. Not directly ay you....but science is showing correlations with early pot use to lowered test for life. Back on track....you're already going the medical route. You've tried all the same methods anyone would hollar about. Without test you will have more old man issues.....BUT test is/can be a double edged sward as well with prostate(science proves how to lessen that is by frequent "release"). So yes.....for you trt seems the realworld option to quality life with/without bodybuilding. I've personally shown that no...on cycle a good run doesn't have to be mega doses. And eating correctly with a mear two cycles a year can keep you at a Nice size. Keep doing your bloids so you always know not just test/estro but liver etc. Carry on my wayward son!
cdaddy7Youngcammy u and I have discussed this for myself also. TRT is the train that never comes back its a one way ticket. If you believe that you have exhausted all attempts and u are just naturally low then it appears you have no choice. My only personal concerns is all the other meds that you will have to take in addition the possibility of even more as certain symptoms arrive. Because your homeopathic ways is to keep the test and estro balanced with hypothalamus effects. When u start the exogenous route with test the estro rises and with it more conversion. In the end for sure gyno on one end and MPB, Prostate issues, body hair all from the dht bc sooner or later it converts. I say that bc the long term use of ai u cant hang onto it longterm, although mayb get away with it on a blast but the cruise is what worries me bc the other option is nolva daily but that only prevents or slows growth bc the body always has to have estro and u cant just squash it bc ur libido goes to and lethargy.. I dont need to tell u all that we are both med field related. I think you should take the worse case scenario that you can find on a TRT on this site and get his experience, strength and hope. Thats a lifetime of TRT and remember this a new wave thing in the med field and Im not sure that there are enough case studies out there just yet to prove the benefits vs the negs bc We are on a diff playing field bc we go beyond therapeutic values a few times a year for our gains. I think if I was in your shoes I would continue to research it and talk to ppl on this site and those outside and begin to weigh the options. It could be the best thing for you to TRT of the worst, just remember we live about 70 years. At 23 that a long time. Not tryn to scare you just being honest with u. I got nothing but madlove for u even if u thinks its homo, but u have helped me out a bunch on this site when I was new and I want to help you out in the same as best I can. Hit me up anytime bro Always
I told him the sme thing in PM's. Its the cruising that concerns me. Not only will he have to use ancillaries all year long but it will over time diminish his receptors ability to utilize the low doses of Test. More meds, more Test needed to grow. But I also understand what it feels like to not have enough natty test. My god I felt so tired and i gt depressed andd I just didn't even want to get out of bed. Guys on Trt can still do a modified version of PCT if for nothing more than to let the receptors take a break. But honestly I would lean toward your opinion with your medical backround.
zewiGOOD point.. but a lot has to do with understanding, and not over doing. 250mg a week sure. However, receptors are interesting. And this is were understanding your body comes to play. Do i do TRT for a month, and try a PCT and then back on TRT..
He is going to be on this along time, the best way to find out how he needs to run it. Is start adjusting, to the amount of TEST to a PCT to where he feels normal.
Yeah I agree, knowing how ur body works and reacts is the biggest ally we have.
cdaddy7def want the least sides that can come but yes the receptor burnout is real but understand that we grow these receptors and even when u stop they continue to grow, that is the reasoning for more to trigger a response. Its the way our CNS adapts to over amount of anything. Same theory that applies for alcoholic/addicts is the same as the use of steroids bc our body adapts quickly. That why gains are deminished after the first few cycles and more is needed. Does that make sense?
zewiYes it does my wife is an RN(like u)... But I'm just saying receptors are wired.
Lets take you Alcoholic/addicts.. Yes as they drink they will need more to get drunk. However if you get them of that. And they drink later on, it only takes them 2 drinks.
But i do understand that it will not take them as long to adapt to drinking Alcohol...
That's were i say you have to no your body, make sure you don't go to high to start. But find that level were you feel normal. Its funny i have been on TRT since 27 and now 35--but my cycle and TRT dose has not changed once i found that normal range. Yes i do PCT's to take breaks. But then again being healthy eating right exercising, workout all helps.
The reason i say this.. Is cause every Doctor every RN you ask will always Say---Everyone one is different and will act differently. If it was the same for everyone it would just be--but it is not...
cdaddy7Well said my man u have a strong good wealth of knowledge. Glad we linked bro (no homo) and to know u
zewisame brother (no homo)---:)
cdaddy7My ego loves the idea but I can tell you the pathophysiology tells the truth. There's just not enough studies out yet to make me go in a different way right now. So until then I just have to go with the safest choice based on my education and training.
My Lil Homie I got to commend you on having the balls to come out and post this. Especially after what has been going on around here between the young cats and the Vets. Whether from injury or genetics or pituitary malfunction more and more young men are being diagnosed with Low T at very young ages. I also want to let the Vets know that this cat came to me with a great attitude and has yet to show me he isn't mature enough to have this conversation with. So please be nice to Cam, he really is looking for some help making the right decision. Although I believe he and his doctor should have the last say.
