the 1-5 star ranking system is great, but the verbiage needs to be changed. "Satisfied Users voted at least 1 star." i've heard this mentioned a lot, and i think "satisfied" is the wrong word. a 1 star typically is from a pissed off buyer, hardly "satisfied."

Hi, I'm just wondering how I can vote? I have 5 karma points but all I seem to be able to do is write reviews.
you need just one more
Cool thanks!
Wondering how many points I need to vote? I made a comment on a site but never seen vote option?
How about a vote system where you are given categories to vote 1-4 star. For example: A vote based on customer service, a vote based on the gear and a vote based on delivery. And then that in turn would determine the overall vote given for that source.
...and what about setting some kind of shelf life or expiration date for votes?
There are sources near the top that were great last year and scammers this year, but all the votes from when they were great yesterday give them too high a ranking today. This is a transient business.
What about some kind of weighting system that includes rep points? There are sources that clearly shouldn't appear as high as they do due to users who visit once, leave a bs review, and a 5 star vote, or users that hate the source but vote one star. If a source has 5 votes from user with 100+ rep points, I'd feel better about giving them my money than a source that has 100 votes from users with 0 rep points. With the right formula, the truly legit sources should bubble to the top.
Eric090585ya, the start system is fine...except for one thing. "top voted" should mean highest star AVERAGE, rather than whoever has had the click on anything (including 1 star). i think that 1 star should = shitty, not "satisfied"
