Ok hopefully I can get this typed out and posted! I think I may have a virus on my Evo shift. I can perform anything unrelated to to the net no problem but I go on email or net I have all sorts of problems. The text changing, apps pulling up, twitching on the screen and the phone itself is touchy in that even touching around the screen and sometimes the back of the phone things occur on screen...weird shit but again, phone and text, any internal data not related to logging on is fine...shop time or can I download spyware ,antivirus, bots to seek and destroy, help a Nooka out! Took me 10 minutes for this and hoping I can post it!

I just got a free replacement phone. top of the line, my son's phone was acting a foo so i made them send me another, no insurance no nothing just good game. work on that bro. If yo want you can hire me to do all your business deals and negotiating for you. the customer is always right bro so if they want you to pay for phone service they best make sure you have a phone that works.??? just saying.

Well this thread went off topic huh? Anyway, if your having weird shit happen on screen by touching different areas of the phone or case its probably connection\contact\solder joint.... Sounds like hardware related. You probably just wore the bitch out as much as your on here with it. LOL ;-P Phone and texting circuitry are probably just in a different area on the circuit boards and why you don't have issues with that portion of your phone. Did you get the insurance?

Loaner? Really? They try to help me over the phone, if that don't work its to a store, they diagnose and send me a new one (refurb) next day if they can't fix it. Send your old one right back if that's what they do or they charge you full price for the core! Those bastards!
tread-mI had it in for a plug issue and did get a "little " pissy but diplomatic about it and was given a number to call. They will send me a phone overnight and I send mine back in a prepaid packing that comes with the phone. They will send mine back fixed or new with another prepaid to send theirs back. About a year ago I went in and they could fix mine "in store" but it was to take 2 days and no loaner. After a little "DIPLOMACY" they went in the back and got me a loaner which was someone elses old phone they traded in I guess. Rely on diplomacy brother and be swole in a shirt that reveals all of your diplomacy. Hell I'm not an animal !
Just switched for Moto razor with android platform to the iPhone. Now i'am nothere to start a pissing match but IMO it is definitely a windows world and I can not wait to get back to andriod. ( not throwing stones apple heads) IPhone has it perks, but it's not for me.
Anyway big T, when I did have my droid I ran a free app called > lookout.
Downloaded from the android market and updated automatically, Never had any problems especially what you are describing. To properly troubleshoot I would take it to a sprint store or try calling for tech support, never really hear of mobile viruses acting in such a manor as you are describing. Sound like hardware issue to me.

Do factory restore and install lookout. Harder to get rid of virus on a phone once u already have it. If factory restore doesn't work tell your carrier that it started going crazy, to send a new one or you're switching carriers

I'm on my lg Droid right now and it's great. Other brands or servers do have issues.
AnonPlug your phone into your computer. Sort downloaded programs by date modified. Delete everything that has been modified that isn't essential up till the date which your phone started bugging out.
If that doesn't work you're going to have to try and catch the bug with an antivirus or something. ESET Nod32 is a great one I use. You can have it scan external devices so it'll work for your phone.
Also I trust you've tried shutting it off and turning it back on. Sometimes shit just happens.
If none of that works usually there is a way to restore factory default on phones.
