this is a great topic and something that i am constantly in a struggle with. you work out 6 days a week for years your music that once got you pumped is just now bland.
Right now in my shuffle, I have a couple breakbeat and dubstep mixes. When Im on test and I take a preworkout or energy pack and im in the middle of the workout, I get almost like a hi feeling. Kinda like back in the 90's when I used to pop 10 packs of X and blow up (roll). I guess the pump and the test and the caffien and the beats gets me on a natural hi.
I think Im goin to change it up though, cause I love me some rage and Ministry, nine inch nails ect.. I think listining to that will wanna make me pop someone in the mouth for not practicing proper gym ettiquete though.
Linkin Park does the trick! A few hip hop songs get me rowdy. Just about any tupac! Love that Maino song (ALL THE ABOVE)!
My iPod is loaded with everything from the Beatles , stones, Floyd , Tupac, The roots, linkin Park, staind. You name the genre I probably have something in my iPod. Anything with substance! Hip hop seems to motivate me more to lift however
How bout some old Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine. I keep saying I'm gonna put together a workout playlist and just never get around to it.
Recently all I'm listening to is
POD - Alive
A DAY TO REMEMBER - I'm Made Of Wax Larry What Are You Made Of?
both on a constant loop!!!
Thanks for reminding me. Gotta start pulling out some POD. Took me a while before I realized they were like christ rock. LOL ;-P
wait a minute..I didnt know they were a religous band?? I gotta start listening to some of the lyrics, they dont sound like one though! XD
No Kiddin, I was listening to them for a while till I realized! LOL ;-P
POD-Payable On Death

NastyNateKaty perry!!!! Been jamming a lil Dev lately too....call me homo, but I like to workout to females artists with good beats.
I know there's others on here that listen to Katy perry too, they just won't admit it!!!
My kids used to give me shit in the summer. I'd be blastin some Katy Perry out back hitting the weights and my son just looks at me, "Really Dad, Katy Perry". That girl is smokin! LOL ;-P
I listen to a bunch of random shit that gets me in the mood, as long as I'm not listening to the gym music , that shit is horrible!
My best friend of 14 years and lifting partner, used to say the music at the Y was like waiting to die.. The ironic thing about it is he died last April..RIP BRO
There's a new one on the radio in my area now Volbeat-A Warrior's Call that gets me going

depends on what you like. For me I like heavy metal... "hardcore" rap, something that is violent, has anger in it... Rammstein has a lot of good stuff to lift too.
Sounds like me too. I like a lot of Disturbed, Mudvayne, ill NiƱo , and others like those.
