+ 1 Free run meats, are they worth it?

ad

I myself only buy from my local butchers for my meats, all their beef and chicken is raised on a nice farm where they get fed and taken care of properly, and yes I have actuall been to the farm. I like to buy my stuff from someone who actually has something to loose if they sell me subpar products.

It does cost more than say Costco, but I feel the quality of the product your putting in your body is much better. Macro nutrients and such are higher, plus the taste is always way better.

What does everyone else think?

Pretty lucky in that respect i work within the meat industry so i have never had a problem, i get pissed at the price of protein powders for this reason !!!! Smile

Thats a good one. I was looking into ordering grass fed beef and chicken but the price was higher than I expected. Im a full time college student working on 2 degrees so my money is short, I cant afford to eat organic AND eat enough to grow. Im going with quantity for now, with my metabolism and budget I dont have much choice. I can get cheap fresh seafood because of my location though which helps but fish and crabs only have so many calories.

I personally prefer to eat beef every day when trying to gain more mass, pork and chicken also then switch to fish to get ripped up,i hate fish for never giving me the just had a good feeling if you know what i mean:)

I definitely prefer buying my meats locally. Like you mentioned, the taste is more consistent, it helps local farmers and the quality I find is better... being as I am in cattle country Canada (I'm sure you all know where that is). Even the way the meat is raw (no homo) it feels different than a cow who has been shoved into a stall and pumped full of hormones.

Amateur, if you aren't harvesting local lean organic homeless men then you aren't dedicated to lifting. Have fun spending all that money, my wallet is full, my stomach is full, and the bridge underpasses are empty.
