Cream of wheat or Oatmeal?

I hate oatmeal but I suffer and eat it anyways for my carbs but I have also started to eat Cream of wheat. I was wondering if anybody knows how to make oatmeal so it doesn't suck or if I can just do cream of wheat and get the same carbs and benefits.

sgtstedankoTry mixing in cinnamon, bananas, honey, all natural peanut butter, add in some cooked quinoa & Protein powder with your cream of wheat brother. That's what I do : ) works with steel cut oats to. I can eat anything though.
AnonI put it in my protein shake.. I cup whole rolled oats, two scoops of cyto gainer (choc malt flavor) 1 scoop of gold standard whey protein isolate, 1tbs almomd butter, 4 frozen whole strawberries, 1/2 cup frozen blue berries, 2 cups of water.. fire up the vita mix and blend... drink up.. sometimes I throw in 2 eggs,, they make it frothy.
Half a cup steel cut oats. One bannana, two slices of apple, half scoop whey cookies and cream. Put in blender after oatmeal has cooked. Put in a shaker and head out the door.
I think cream of wheat is pretty good myself.. not sure how it stacks up to oatmeal but I think cream of wheat is decent long chain carb??
Hint:
if you nuke the oatmeal in the microwave for 30 seconds/1 minute it does not get as thick and goes down easier to me. I almost always put in a little chunky peanut butter and some blueberries.
Well thanks for the advice I tried the peanut butter that helps with the taste a ton and the equal also.
a cpl tplspns of honey and some walnuts do it for me... when I'm on cycle i am far less particular on taste and more interested in purpose
man I do love some honey... a little on some toasted Ezekiel bread w/ peanut butter and some banana.... and Elvis will come back from the dead.

OE2000Blend it.... I haven't eatin oatmeal in months, hate the shit. Seriously, put a cup of cooked oatmeal in the blender with 4-6oz of milk, blend until smooth.... Throw in a scoop of whey protein, a banana, sweet potato, whatever you like.... I've even threw in a snickers bar.... hmmmmmm yummy And if your on a bulk cycle, you can get real creative...... (hint) ICE CREAM! hahahaha

AnonI stir in some frozen berries to cool it faster and get it down without gagging. I eat oatmeal 3-4 times a day and it keeps me lean and full. But yes sometimes I wanna just toss the shit out the window.

Its just nasty to me I guess and plain. I tell myself to eat for fuel not for taste but damn I just think it sucks. Tired of it as well. I guess I was thinking if I did cream of wheat maybe it was the same. But if not I will go on suffering during breakfast. I'll give the peanutbutter a shot. I did do the packs for a while but there was way to much sugar so back to plain quaker oats
Nasty81NateTry steel cut oats, the consistency is not as mushy. There more expensive, but just cook a big batch up and rehet em in the microwave every morning for 4 or 5 days. I add Splenda, a bourbon barrel vanilla extract, and milled flax seed to my oatmeal. Love it!
Same here bro I dont like the taste cause I been eating them for months ED! I forgot I was doing the packs as well but the way I did it was one half pack mixed with my regular amount of oatmeal, or maybe it was 1/3 pack cant remember but gave it a better taste, also sometimes I add fruits like strawberries, apples, banannas, etc.
Nasty81NateOatmeal is whole grains, therefore they take longer to digest which stretches the carbs out. The Cream of Wheat is processed grain, do it will break down much faster. What is it about oatmeal that u don't like?

I eat oatmeal almost every morning! "So tired of it!"...Most of the time I add peanut butter, sometimes before a workout ill eat some with jelly in it!
