Metforal
ad
So, my provider carries this drug called Metforal which is supposed to improve your response to insulin, something I'm interested in. It also claims that it's risk free in terms of users not developing insulin deficiency and such.
The problem is I've never heard of it outside of this supplier. Anyone used it?

Its said insulin will make u more buff than any steroid (also fatter)
Does this mean this metaforal is good for bulking?
With out risks of insulin....
everything has sides but metaforal has to be less scary than insulin since you're not injecting insulin, right?
Similar benefits?
That's what it says on the box but it doesn't seem like anyone has used it around here. And I don't care if it promises to be a milder alternative to Insulin: if there's no information about it, it automatically becomes the most dangerous compound in my book.
Metformin will make you crave sweets out the world...something they fail to mention
Why, did you try it or know someone who uses it?
Yes i use metformin 500 mg a day. Doctor prescribed. The last time i ran mu labs my sugar numbers were high. Ill get tested again in about 3 weeks to see where it takes me. And the metformin was prescribed by my trt doc.
Does it have any effect on your performance/growth? Have you tried using it with HGH? Probably it's not the same in your case since you are probably insulin resistant, but I'm curious to see if someone's using it like that.
N.Gear is right. Metformin is an oral for Type II diabetics. Type II's are categorized as "insulin resistant" while Type ones stop producing insulin alltogether. Type ones inject insulin regularly while type II's vary. T2's basically become insulin resistant overtime because genarally they have jacked their own insulin up for so long their own body becomes immune to it and starts to not react. Generally the exercise and change of daily activites is the first reccomendation along with some metformin. If that does not work they will add insulin to the mix. Sometimes T2's can get their acts together and get off all of the meds completley. So metformin in itself will reduce the amount of sugar made by your liver and will limit the amount of sugar absorbed into your body from the food that is put in. It also makes insulin receptors more sensitive (helping the body respond better to its own insulin). All of these effects cause a decrease in blood sugar levels which can be dangerous. Also if you dealing with insulin you need to research ALOT because it aint no joke. You need to know what your doing or you could end up crashing and in the hospital. Hope that gives you a bit more insight bro.
Thanks for the info, ch4el5onnen.That was really insightful.
Yeah, I know insulin is dangerous and I'm not seriously considering for right now, but rather as something I might consider to try in the very long term. Drugs like Metforin sound like a safer alternative and that's why I'm trying to collect experiences of its use in Bodybuilding.
Again, thanks!
Northern Geari have heard overdosage can result in serious hypoglycemia. here is something you should read brother.metformin/metforal DOES have serious, but rare sides. then again so does vitamin c, just gotta present yourself with the risk:benefit ratio.

Thanks for the link. I'm still puzzled though that my provider carries it and yet it doesn't seem to be that widely used for bodybuilding purposes. I find it tempting, but I would need more info.
