Cycle for MMA. Needing to drop weight for fight.
Hey guys I have a fight coming up in 4 wks. This is my first cycle so far and I havent had any experience with weight cutting while on gear. Today I weighed in at 153. I fight at 135, your allowed 1 lb over so actually 136. I usually drop to about 143ish before I cut the rest in water. I can cut 7 lbs water comfortably. I have done more but prefer lucky 7. So far undefeated at 3-0
Todays wt 153. 4 wks out til fight.
5'7, 7% BF, Age 28
Cycle: Total cycle is 8 wks
Test E 300/wk I am on wk 4 of test e. I switched to Test P-50mg EOD today and plan on running it for another 4 wks.
Im also thinking about starting HCG this wk and running it til end of cycle (Wk 8)???
Masteron (on wk 2) run til end of cycle at 300-350/wk. 6 wks total
I have been running oral pro chem winstrol at 50 mg ED but am going to switch over to injections this wk at 50 mg EOD any suggestions on this?
So my main worry is too much water weight but Im hoping I can fix that with the Mast and injectable Win. I have def gained some size and definition in the last 4 wks but I have really noticed the strength increase and the rate I heal. That is the most beneficial for me. I had a 2 hr grueling work out tonight and I was practically crawling out of the gym 3 hrs ago and I feel like I have already healed up half way. Ill be g2g in the am!
If anybody has any suggestions out there to help with the weight cut as this is my first time doing it on gear I would be very grateful for some feed back guys. Id even like to hear from some of the body building competitors out there too as you guys have experience with this as well.
Thanks Eroids,
Much Love!

On another note I look back on this cycle and see alot of mistakes. Ive been also using another forum to see what some endurance athletes are doing and I have been getting alot of sound advice from guys with similar goals. All though I respect and appreciate all the advice given to me from everyone, body building and mma can be very different as far as anabolics go. Has anyone had any experience with IGF-1?
I'm no vet but here's my input. When it comes to cutting DIET and training are key, if you want the extra boost I'd go with a simple test with var cycle(previously stated by hllwd). And if your not gonna be on the gear for the fight, ensure you balance your natural hormone production properly, I watched a friend crash hard the week of a fight (had a fight 8 days after cycle ended) and it went very bad. Just my opinion good luck with the cut and good luck with the fight!!
Ps: my last cycle of only test e 600mg/wk made twice a day training very smooth and do-able. This might not be useful info for you since your cutting and it's a high dose for pre fight cutting but just thought I'd share my experience.
Cheers.
I appreciate the advice but those levels of test are way too high and the var gives too much pumps. I get bad pumps just warming up jump roping on those levels. Those are good doses for lifting and short cardio workouts but Im doing anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hr workouts 5 days a wk. My diet is in check. My BF% is low and I have no fat to burn. The cut went great by the way guys. I will def put a little more thought into the timing of my cycle next time. I think I cut everything out in just enough time. I made weight and felt great last night. They put me up against a pro boxer last minute. I dont want to give away too much but lets just say I won and finished him. On a side note I realize AAS wont get the win it will only give an edge. I still have to work my ass off in the gym to get where Im at. Still undefeated! Going for the belt!
may be too late (or too long) but for future reference
SIMPLE CUTTER:
wk 1-8 test p 75 ed (or 150 eod)
wk 1-8 var 75 ed
train and diet
well for me..instead of putting time in focus into trying to get bigger so i can cut weight..i have always put energy and focus into learning techinique like boxing muay thai bjj etc...becuae if you are truley a well rounded professional athelete in the mma game..you shouldnt be relying on being the bigger stronger guy to win fights..size and strenght doent make your skill level increase..it just makes it harder to evlove becuase you foundation is around just being bigger and stonger...if you gotta cut more than 10-12 lbs of natural walking around wieght to make your desired wieght class then you need to refocus you long term goal in mma.
Kinda off topic bro but I dis-agree. Most guys I train with cut pre-fight, why wouldn't you? Stronger faster leaner. Sounds exactly what a fighter wants. When the technique level of two fighters balance, conditioning takes the fight. I'm no professional but from my experience training with guys my walk weight(190lns) then cutting to 170 for a fight, I would have to say it's much nicer fighting with a smaller guy then you train with. Striking is my strong point I've kickboxed for years, grappling is my weak side and the huge difference dropping a weight class makes with grappling for me is phenomenal. I could focus on my strengths and use my speed in a higher weight class to out box the other fighter, but realistically a fight is about attacking your opponents weaknesses, and it won't take them long to take me down if I'm dominating the stand up. That's just me, I like to focus on my weak points and if cutting to balance my game is what it takes it's what I gotta do! You have to remember everyone is different;)
Cheers!
well i dont cut more than 10 lbs before i fight becuase i always like to be ready and feel 90-100% ..when alot is weight is cut there is no way you get back to 100%...more like 75-80 but it feels like 100 because you have been at 50-60% trying to cut wieght...everyone is different but i doubt cutting weight and being stronger would be better for fighting off your back than gracie bjj..not bjj for mma..but pure gracie bjj...
I train BJJ, Muay Thai, Wrestling, and MMA all week. During a camp I train 2x/day. I dont rely on being bigger. I rely on my technique and speed. I only need gear for recovery time and to be stronger hence the halo equals no wt gain, and my next cycle Im going to only run Test at 125/wk to keep my levels high normal for recovery purposes only. This was my first cycle so Ive had some tweeks to make to make my performance optimal.
well for me and my body..nothing has helped me recover between training sessions and hard sparring than peptides...grf1-29 and ipamorelin...no wieght gain but really helps my joints feel like new every morning..and i have to really push it to have muscle soreness for over a day.
cycoWell,i never been on gear that close to a fight, hell i cut all weight lifting 8 weeks out. i walk around 190 lbs,and fight at 155 lbs. Seems like most gear, brings atleast some kind of water retention, and if u muscled up,man it;s gonna be tuff. I just took a break from mma cuz i got tired of putting on muscle, then having to lose alot of it to fight at 155. Def lower da dosage, and might have to cut it out completely has of today, since u still got 4 weeks. Aim at 300 grams of protien and it sucks but start to lower ur carb intake, and see how you feel. We all know suana suit, and albolene will help u lose atleast 10 pounds toward da last few days. But we all know that new found muscle is gonna make it hard. I started to get phone-calls alot more since since pro mma is gtg in da sunshine state, but i just don;t have da will,or desire to drop wght, and lose all that muscle i been trying to put on,,
Well I have weigh ins tomorrow and Im good! I only have about 8 lbs of water to drop (easy). I will also add that halotestin is my new friend except for the mood swings. Good call brutha. I cut out all the gear about a wk ago except for the halo. I cut that out 2 days ago because of the half life. Now Im all cut up and my takedowns are killin em. Next time I will def run my test at a lower dose. Shit makes me gas at the levels I was using.
