Chicken and prawn gumbo

Trying to get to my goal of putting on 20lbs. I’m a hard gainer but doing my damndest to get theee calories into me!!

This was last nights dinner for me and the missus.

Made some chicken and prawn gumbo for a nice high calorie meal. Tastes way better than it looks the chicken is so tender it just melts in your mouth. Added basmati rice with it as it’s my favourite rice or sometimes a pl add egg fried rice.

Plate of this dish is 1050 calories.
You can add more Cals with garlic bread it really is lovely with garlic bread and maybe bitta soy sauce for some extra flavour as desired.

Ingredients :
Chicken - any cut of chicken. I used boneless chicken thighs.
Baby prawns
Yellow onions
Spring onions
Base is made with oil butter and flour to make a roux.
Vegetable stock pot.
Shot of hot sauce as desired.
Cajun powder
Basmati rice or egg fried rice as desired.
