+ 4 The importance of donating blood every 2 months

ad

Some of you may find this as common sense, where some of you may have never even thought of it. I donate blood every 8 weeks. This allows me to not only help other people, but myself. How do you ask? Well, when you donate blood, you are essentially thinning it out by reducing the number of red blood cells, in turn, reducing the chance of getting a blood clot. This is especially important for smokers, drinkers and recreational drug users. By donating blood, you are also lowering your blood pressure. Some other benefits of donating blood include the free blood pressure test they give you, the temperature check (if you have a fever you can't donate) and also the hemoglobin test (too low or too high and you can't donate) and a chance to see your height and weight. You'll also get some juice and cookies if the ladies like you! Sometimes a ticket to a concert or a show at the convention center in your city. I make sure I'm well hydrated before I go in and I always have a steak, baked sweet potato, rice and lemonade after I donate. If you are over 40 or older and on TRT, you really should take this advice.
