Any studies on the length of the shutdown affecting PCT recovery?

Seems like it's common sense that a blast for 6 months would be harder to recover from than a 4 week prop cycle...
But are there any studies that delve into this?
Does it have to do with more leydig cells dying off?

Damn I really wish I would have saved the journal article I read the other day on pct, which is supposedly the only in depth cycle and pct analysis known to exist.
