If TRT guys don't PCT how much of the gains should you retain?

ad

I realize keeping gains is subjective to diet and continued exercise. But I'm asking for your experience here. Since trt is similar to cruising I'm wondering what the expected loss should be for both weight and strength, if diet is kept on point.

After I run my first cycle I lost almost all my gains. I had started at 175lbs and got to 189lbs while on cycle, then back to 177lbs. I was traveling a lot for work and constantly stressed out and rather than eating junk food, I skipped meals. My mistake, I know. Also I was on androgel 10 which brought my levels to below mid range on the spectrum.
I'm now on dr prescribed 150mg test a week which brought my levels to upper range.

So in terms of strength and weight, what's an acceptable/common range of loss coming off cycle and back on trt?

As always, thanks for your feed back.

I think the best way to look at it over a year basis. So just being on TRT for a year you should be able to make solid gains throughout the year and grow at a "normal" rate (normal for an 18yr old that is). Meaning that keeping 10-20lbs is possible if diet, training and exercise are on point. Throw in say 4 blasts per year and you might be able to make that 15-25 given the yo-yo effect of being highly anabolic back to moderate.

Its important to bare in mind there are limits, your body can only get so big taking 250mg or test/per week. So that 20lbs may come the first year of TRT and you'll level out there. UP the dose to 400mg/week and the next year maybe 10lbs more... Ultimately you will reach a max human capacity of both size, strength and dosage. Guys like Ronnie Coleman taking 3-4gs of test a week and GH Etc. don't come back 20lbs heavier each year, they may spend $100,000 on gear just to maintain the extra 80-100bs they are carrying and another $20,000 fighting for 1-2 more lbs.

Just look at how many years it took them to go from the mid 200lbs weight to 300+lbs.

No way to know that easily bro. We all have different bodies. The biggest thing that will affect your losses will be how large your gains are. Testosterone causes our muscles to hold more protein and, also, to lose or catabolize less too. When we stop taking as much, that ratio of anabolism and catabolism is changed. If your muscles only grew a little and trt mg dosage is sufficient for that balance not to be more catabolic in ratio, then you won't lose any muscle. But, if your gains require you to be more anabolic to sustain the gains, then you will lose until your muscles reach a point where they are gaining as much as they are losing.

The key in retaining gains is understanding the body. In all honesty, what we discuss here are very serious hormones and you really shouldn't be on them without understanding how they work, but...honestly, probably 80% or more of test users don't know much at all other than hear say. I digress, though....when you come off, try to make your body as anabolic as possible. Carnitine after your workouts, alanine before, vitamins, blah blah. Little things will make a big difference more than ever when you bring your dosage down a lot.

I hope this helps you brother.
