Getting into Ketosis

ad

I'm trying to lean out a little more before starting my next cycle and I've decided to try the Keto Diet this time around after talking to a few of my gym buddies that have had good luck with it while cutting for contests. I've been on it for 7 days and I've been testing my ketone levels everyday with test strips. I can't seem to get much better than "moderate" ketone levels but usually in the "small" zone. I have my carbs down to less than 20g per day and I've been lifting and hitting cardio hard trying to deplete as much glycogen as possible on a daily basis. Any ideas? I'd really appreciate any and all advice. Thanks in advance.

Does not matter the level just matters you are in it. Do not avoid carbs totally. squash, zucchini, green beans, ect. Drink plenty of water. Try to avoid high fat too. You could feel like shit for a couple weeks. This is your body going through withdrawal form sugar. Also that fast weight loss you get in the begging is just water.

Sweet... that's good to know about the level. I totally thought the level did matter. Just an assumption I guess. Yeah I'm used to seeing the first week or so of any diet being just water. I'm definitely not new to dieting. I just haven't yet learn how to stay where I want. Thanks for the tips!
