Plan is to start Monday. Can (should) I start today?

Hey all,
Everything is down pat and ready to go for Monday. Question is, I am leaving for the weekend and admittedly am excited about starting. Would it hurt anything to start today, go away for the weekend and then start in on my workouts and cycle on monday?
I personally cant see any reason why not, but I just wanted to check with others.
