I only look buff from the side but not from the front

ad

Seems like the only weight I ever gain goes immediately to my triceps. Because of this, I look buff from the side, but from the front, I just look lean and skinny. Does anybody else have this problem? I work on shoulders and forearms relentlessly to make them pop out more, but seems shoulder progress is a lot slower than triceps.

Does anybody have any tips for exercises that will make your muscles pop out from the front, and not from the side?

No..............my shoulders and chest pop, so I look bigger.........the side, not so much, especially since I don't have a 6 pack

I'm the opposite, I look really buff from the front but not the side.

I think it's my shoulders that cause that look from the front. Do you do lots of delt work?

Yes, I work on delts and traps as much as I work on triceps, and it seems like my delts don't pop out quite like my tri's do. How do you get those humongous popcorn looking delts?

Delts are my strong point. They always have been and always will be.

I do a few exercises, front db raises, incline press with barbell, and a few others. The main thing is lateral raises. Dumbbell lateral raises!!! Best shoulder exercise in existence.

Take a super lightweight dumbbell 5-10lbs and hold them in each hand. raise them about 8 inches away from your body arms straight. This will be your starting position, now raise laterally all the way until your arms are making a "Y" then slowly and controlled bring arms down back to where they started but not all the way down to your sides. The reason for this is to give your arms zero rest period between reps. You want to do 15-20 reps non stop perfect form.
As soon as you are done grab a barbell (immediately! NO REST PERIOD) 30-40lbs should be good and raise up all the way above your head. Now do presses. One rep in front of your head, one rep behind your head. Don't completely extend all the way just go about 6-8 inches over your head. So back and forth in front of your head behind each back and forth is one rep do 12 reps.
Now grab some 5lb dumbbells and do arm circles palms facing down do 20 forward circles and 20 backward circles non stop.

Those 3 exercises will have your delts SCREAMING in pain the pumps are unreal. Honestly the most intense exercise that I do the delts will be so tired you will need to rest them because your arms will be too tired just holding themselves up.

So it's a circuit 3 exercises no breaks in between no rest period full reps good form light weight. Do this 2x a week and I PROMISE you within 2-3 months you will have capped delts like no other.

Let me know how it goes. I set this up for kasinova so you might want to adjust the weights. Personally I use the 20lb dumbbells for the side raises then grab a 90lb ezbar and use that

Yes I'm a guy and have the same problem . I'm thinking its because our bodies are made on small frames. But next time have a friend critique you other then a mirror it makes a huge difference.

Considering the first thing every one of my friends comment on my body is how huge my triceps are, I'm pretty sure they see the same thing I do. Buff from the side, lean from the front.

I'm going to relocate this to the general discussion area so that you can get a larger audience. As long as a post is relevant to eroids itself or anything pertaining to AAS or the liftstyle, it can be posted in general.

To answer your question, that's the case with a lot of ppl. I look different from the side than I do the front. Also from the back I look like a different person. It's fairly common to see flaws in your own physique. But as to what exercises will make the muscles pop from the front , which muscles do you mean? The delts? Traps? All the above?

Kasinova's picture

Yes all of the above, and sure relocate this thread to wherever you deem fit. Smile
