A surprise delayed reaction on week 9. Am mystified!!!
Ho folks,
As posted previously, I started a course of test-e as I suspected I have low test levels. Am 40, and been powerlifting for 20 years, 19 naturally. Made some good gains over the years but my progress had been stalling for a long time, and I'd been feeling more lethargic in general.
Started 500mg test-e per week, with a dbol kickstart first 3 weeks. The dbol worked fast, bloating me up a little but as soon as I stopped my weight dropped back to 200lbs. From weeks 5-8 I didn't experience much in the way of strength or weight gains, although my libido and appetite were increasing and I felt more energetic.
I was beginning to think my pharma-grade gear was perhaps way underdosed when all of a sudden at week 9 my strength went crazy and my weight began creeping up. Am now on week 11 and I have gained 10lbs in the past two weeks, arms and chest have increased 1/2 inch, squat and deadlift gone up 20kgs. I had planned initially to do a 10-week cycle but am now extending it to 16 weeks to make the most of the 'delayed reaction'. I'll post up some before and after pics at end of cycle, very noticable changes in the mirror now.
A nice surprise, but my question is why did the test-e take so long to kick in for me? Most people say it takes 3-7 weeks. Could it be my natural test was indeed super low and it took this long to have an effect?

congrats on the gains I'm looking forward to hearing more on this as my test levels are under 500 and I'm getting ready to start a cycle myself. Best of luck to you.
Thanks mate, will post an update on week 16.
500mg pw mate. Perhaps as you say I'm a slow-responder. Haven't got great genetics, am a real hard-gainer, so maybe that explains it.
Am debating with myself as to whether to stay on trt after week 16 or come off, do pct and get some bloods done. Am really starting to enjoy the ride and am seriously considering the blast/cruise for awhile until I hit my desired goals which are 225lbs b/w with at least another 1" on arms and chest at below 15% bf (am 210 with 20% bf atm).
