So it’s not irritated per say. Minimal pain it’s just always lumps when I do dorso glute and vent glute. I’m wondering if it’s leaking out of the muscle in the sub Q layer. I’m just assuming the lump could be an allergic reaction.
RustyhookerTry to leave pin in 15-30secs after done with plunger. It plugs the hole, allows for bolus to move thru muscle to avoid and subq irritation. Best thing ive found for subq or pip in general has been the rice bag warmed. I use it often.
Have you tried intermedius quad? That thick upside down V muscle right up top center. Seated and relaxed i can pin midway point with general ease. And in a rotation after hitting other side....move up or down bout 2in so you have extra pin points. Just an idea

Link has sample rotation, warming ideas etc. Lil tricks that have helped me. Ultimatly if that other brand just irritates....definitly switch. Keep cycle fun! Not a chore
I used to pin in my quads religiously when I started trt and my first few cycles. Mainly because I was to fat to reach my glute lol. But then for some reason my muscle would spasm when I would get the pin in, even enough to pull the syringe out of my hand and it would freak me out so I stopped. Any reason you know it would do that? I always loved quad injections because I could rub it throughout the day and break up what was in there. Any ideas you have I could try to start pinning there again?
Hit a nerve. I have had the needle fly out my hand too. I have also seen bright flashes like lightning when I hit a nerve. Quads are the worst spot to pin for me. Hit a nerve just about every damn time. I have one spot near a freckle though where it is 50/50 if I hit a nerve. Never used to hit nerves in my quakds when I started pinning but now that I have significantly more leg mass it happens all the time. I just have to push it in real sloooowwww so when I hit a nerve I am able to slowly push through it without the needle flying out my hand from the spasm. Still very uncomfortable though.
I never pin quads for this reason. I always seem to hit sensitive areas. Delts, glutes, pecs do fine for me.
Nope... just like Unc said. I just can't do it. Although my pharmacy still gives me 22g. I bought 23g and wish I would have known that 25 is doable. It feels like I'm sticking a sharp knife in my quad everytime. It wasn't like that though when my bf% was really high. I guess i wasnt getting deep enough to hit the nerve. I may try a 25 Guage and see how it works. I kinda miss the ol quad shots.

I can literally feel this in my skin and the squeak.
When I was a kid I locked the doctor out of his own office and barricaded the door to not get a shot, by the time they could break in I was out the window and in the woods hiding. When they finally did get me in there a few days later and pinned me down "sons of bitches" the nurse that pinned my thigh hit nerves and vessels 3x. I've been scarred forever since and this topic is starting to trigger my 9yo fight or flight come next pin day

I made a few batches of gel but decided it just wasn't cost effective or convenient. I do keep some for myself just in case I'm feeling lazy or rushed

I use 25g 1" for everything. Once I hit halfway in is where I hit all the nerves.

I actually think I read you write something about 25g a while back and thats why I pulled the trigger on them!

Been there, I once seen a guy pin with a 16g. He was complaining to me about how he kept bleeding from his injections. Dude showed me his pinning technique and it was like the scene from pulp fiction. I gave him a 21g and his eyes lit up like it was Christmas.
