Back and chest together...that's where it's at. I do push/pull upper body routines myself. Saves the shoulders plus you get better gains and burn more calories...accelerates the metabolism. Works for me anyway, I already know by stating that others disagree. We all have our ways and that is what really matters!
I know a few guys that do that and swear by it. I've always told my self I'm gonna try it just have not gotten around to breaking my routine, although I think after vaca maybe a good time to give it a shot... Mix it up a bit
It was a horrendous work out. I have absolutely no upper body strength- YET! I kept it pretty simple (at least in theory) and had to use dumbbells, resistance bands, and cable thing since I couldn't even lift the bar :-/ . But my work out (Maynard wasn't there so I listened to the owner, i think he is the owner, he is always eating chicken and sweet potatoes out of a plastic container and calls me "tasty cakes", so he must be the owner):
Bench Press 3X15
Inclined Bench 3x15
"cable" Crossover 3x15 (only made it to 3X12)
Cable Rows 3x10
Lat Pulldown 3x15
Superman 3x12

Oh man! That is a much better name! I mean, I know I need to lay the smack down (does anyone say that anymore- has anyone ever said that? Mmmm the Rock!) on MayMay as the evil, ultra controlling PANTS, but I didn't think it through- I will forever be known as "pants" lol. I only have 4 points (or whatever they are) I may get 5 with the name like Tasty Cakes alone! A lesson learned, never choose a name based on emotion.
