+ 4 T3 Elevation due to Growth Hormone

ad

4iu Somastim 5x per week beginning on 5/15.

FT4 and T3 were measured on 4/29 two weeks prior to my first dose.
FT4 and T3 were measured again 6/3 and 6/10 following 2 and 3 weeks of GH use.

By week 2 there was a 15% increase in T3 and by week 3 there was an increase of 41%, FT4 remained stable throughout testing.

does HGH always elevate thyroid? Im curious because I have low thyroid condition and take medication for it. Wondering if HGH would elevate it? Recent bloodwork didnt show any change and doc renewed that thyroid script. I also wonder why HGH level was normal on the same recent bloodwork done. I thought it would be elevated. I know about using gear but HGH is all new to me. Been using 6 IU 7 days a week since January,

GH doesn't "elevate" thyroid functioning, it raises the conversion of T4->T3 hence speeds the metabolism.

In some severe cases GH may actually lower thyroid functioning due to over stimulation of T4-T3 conversion (T3 has a higher negative loop feedback on the thyroid) but as you may see from this blood work usually the thyroid functioning stays intact)

If you have a medical thyroid condition we certainly can't advice from here, and your doctor must monitor your condition and advice to you based on your very individual condition

Which GH were you using ?

Higher conversion of T4->T3 Is one of the favorable metabolic effects of the GH.

I would actually expect such healthy increase, but of course each individual reacts differently

BTW - this is another living proof against the notion that GH usage should be accompanied with T4 (which some "gurus" have been pumping along the years)

It is a little high for my liking, I've scaled back my dose to 2iu.

This confirms what we know about gh converting t4 directly. Also looks like your thyroid was able to keep up with t4 needs and did not need to supplement any additional to maximize effect. Did you get igf?

What if u take tren with gh? I read somewhere that tren might decrease t3? Not sure tho

Great question. It can but only over long term usage, isn’t going to happen for a short blast. Gh would help with this, I’m not sure the mechanism of function for how it suppresses though. I would think it has something to do with the liver stress brought on by tren but that’s just a guess.

i try to avoid toxic orals when running GH because of IGF conversion, but affecting T3 probably not because of liver toxicty, because gh serum is the one responsible for the T3 elevation, not the IGF conversion which is affected by the liver state

right now short trem i dont seem to notice any difference in my metabolisme i keep burning fat like crazy, that might be true about the long term
I need to research this a bit, cause currently im on week 4 GH and tren probably need TSH bloodwork to check not sure if i need T3, i ordered it anyway

Yes, 328 ng/dl.

Not bad at all considering the 5 on 2 off.
