Hey guys, thanks for adding me to your group, it's cool to chat with other people in recovery about training & etc etc. My name is Eric, I'm a recovering from a 16yr opioid addiction. I've been clean 6 yrs now, will b 7 on April 14th. I have been training for 6yrs heavily, I basically traded opioid addiction for a gym addiction lol .

Congrats Eric! That's no small feat, not something to take lightly(are you on mat? If you don't mind me asking). I've noticed that working out has greatly reduced my using. Seven years is inspiring. Glad you shared and welcome!!!!

My apologies in the delay for adding you, I just realised there were some members waiting to be added and with the group being a little quiet lately I just forgot to check!
Many congratulations on the 7 years sobriety coming up Eric, thats a brilliant achievement especially after 16 long years of using them. I have just added another member with a very similar story to yours so hopefully he will see this and chime in.
I think its fair to say pretty much all of us have traded one addiction for another in here, but for me when its for a positive and productive one then its far better than a destructive and soul destroying one. Very cute dog BTW!!
No worries bro, I just joined the site a month ago or so to ask some questions about some side effects I was having, and with in a day I got several answers from guys on here. It's been great experience so far everyone who has received out has been very helpful and sincere. Thanks for the kind words , that's a pic of my training partner Gauge he's a 16mth old Old English Bulldog.

Lol, funny thing is that the kennel I bought him from is called "BODYBUILDER BULLDOGS " LOL man he couldn't be a better example of a BODYBUILDER he's absolutely jacked! His shoulders r only 16" off ground and he weighs 74lbs already. Have a good one bro talk to you soon, time to start work for the day
