"Sharing with others keeps us from feeling isolated and alone." is a quote from Narcotics Anonymous page 85, re posted in today's "Just For Today" JFT. I am reporting here without permission. Strikes me that is what our group is all about. I still struggle with loneliness. I went on a road-trip with my dog, Loki, for holiday weekend. Gone a week to see friends and family in Kansas City. I enjoyed Thanksgiving. My family loves me. There are so many gifts in Recovery. Friends, Family, and health are my greatest gifts. I am glad to be home, and even to feel my feelings. Stay off my pity pot, Enjoy Today~! = my greatest challenge today. Squats~! Thanks.

Isolation is our main enemy. After all, a person is a social unit, he is strong when he feels supported and can benefit others.
We can become our own worst enemy when we isolate
Loneliness is a problem of our time, it is a big problem and just an escape from this trouble leads to alcohol and drugs. Be with family and friends more often. Yes, I also found this group and I became less lonely, because I have such a problem, inner loneliness and a sense of hopelessness. But I fight it and you fight it. We can do everything together.
