So.. The title kind of says it all! If youre having problems quitting or dont want to quit yet feel youre usage may be impacting on your life or the lives of your loved ones.. Then chat away! All we can do is help ;) and maybe even learn a thing or two about self control! And when enough is enough!

5 years sober and not a single regret! It took a strong willed woman and the promise of a better life.. Something id never imagined possible and it took a fucking LOT of hard work and reassurance! Every time i felt like a beer id run till i spewed my guts up! I lived on top of a 3k hill so i gradually worked myself to be able to run all the way down then all the way up! I lied and made excuses up to stop catching up with my best mates.. They were alcos and druggies too and for anyone thats had to go sober ya know it takes an individual effort with the support of loved ones! Dissing my mates was wrong but it just had to be done! The first few months were the hardest and as the body adjusted from being drunk and sitting around doing nothing but being negative to running training eating healthy and being physically rewarded with the all conquering 'dopamine & serotonin' life slowly but surely became worth living again! I found myself laughing again :/ so what you might say :/ pffft! This was glorious! I felt happy inside :| ! I didnt feel the need to get fkt up and by now the very thought of getting fkt up just made me sick to the stomach!
My problem with the alcohol wasnt only the fact that i got drunk 3-4x a week for 15 or so years straight.. It was the fact that i was a violent nasty zombie fkn son of a bitch! Id knocked more teeth out than your average dentist and had kids idolising me and my crew :/ we were the cunts to beat! But one by one my bros were either moving state to get away from the shit or over dosing or being killed! One bro copped a 7 inch steak knife through his back into his heart! He died like a dog in his womans arms. She just so happened to be my little cousin :/ i carried her brother out in a pine box (OD) just a few years before she lost her partner. And a few months after her brother died she held her father on her shoulders for an hour waiting on the ambos after finding him hanging from the manhole by some tow rope (he was dead pissing all over her well before the ambos got there)! God damn i could tell a hundred stories with reasons to drink and forget but at the end of the day.. It was the drugs and alcohol that got us where we were.
Soo anyone looking for advice on how to quit.. Its simple. And fkn easy!

Glad you made it to the good side brother! It's not easy! I was a heroin addict for 5yrs and am now 3 years sober. Took my ol lady to say she was getn sober with or without me and I grew a pair and got sober. Started working out and changed my life around and every breath is a blessing. It's the hardest thing I have ever done and it has made me one of the strongest humans on this planet (mentally). Although it was agonizing its made life sooooo much more clear and worth living sober. I don't drink,smoke anymore 100% sober for a year now as well haven't been bent one a single compound.
Thats awesome bro! If it wasnt for my old lady id still be a worthless drunk intent on ruining everything in my path.. Its a disease my man! I do everything in my power to help my mates these days.. They all think im a preaching lunatic yet theyre the ones whos wives have left them and cant see their kids due to family violence orders and what not!
Its all about my woman and kids now bro every last thing i do is to better their lives! I gave mine up a long time ago.. And seeing them smile is the only way i can regain my faith in life.

True that! I had zero intention of stopping my usage until she gave me the altimatum. And in return I am putting her through college as we speak! I may not get to eat all the calories I desire cuz of school bills but she is worth it! Keep doing what your doing! Leading by example is always the best! Congrats!
