+ 1 snatch grip deadlifts
ad
So I went to a 'deadlift clinic' today at my gym which was ran by a competitive power lifter.
Just wanted to get my form checked out for low/high hip action to work out what best for my frame
However, he showed us a snatch grip deadlift.
Only did 3x5 at 50kgs but my whole upper body back like someone jumped all over it.
So, I was wondering if anyone actually uses these to work the upper back?
It also seemed to work my glutes/hammies too (due to the lower starting position I guess)

I don't do them regularly, but they are a great exercise. Most of the olympic weightlifting movements fry everything on the back of your body, glutes, hams, erectors, traps, etc.
I'm going to try them!
I use these to help train for the full snatch. It definitely torches the back, those muscles are stretched much further to accommodate the grip.
Yea I use a lot of Olympic weight movements and olympic assistance exercises in my workouts. Try high pulls with a snatch grip f#ck those are good.
