Should you do Cardio on a cycle?
I am curious if I were to do a cycle should I do cardio as well?
I have heard people say yes and no. I tend to gain and hold weight easily. So for me to lean out I have to be on a strick drit and do allot of cardio. Curse of the family to hold weight around the midsection... :(
So I am worried if I were to do a cycle and no cardio I will balloon up around the waist. lol. I know allot of it is based on diet as well and I am getting one planned now so when i do start a cycle.
So i do a cycle should I just focus on the bulking up and then cut after or should I still throw in like 20 mins cardio with my work outs? Or should I just start the cycle and see how I look an decide if I should do cardio then?
I am pretty sure I know the answer but i am a total newb to cycles. So want to make sure I am planning things right.

Yes do cardio, I do it 3 times a week. It helps with bp and hdl
Ok mate you should definately do some sort of cardio during your cycle. As stated below it will assist with your BP, also the weight you want to gain should be quality. What's the point of gaining a heap of fat, fluid and a bit of muscle. It's all well and good to do a cycle and put on say 20lbs with 10 being fat 5 fluid and 5 muscle (I am not saying this is what will happen just making a point here). Then you go off cycle loose the 5lbs of fluid then you are down to a gain of say 15lbs with the majority beeing the wrong type of weight. The aim of the game is to put on quality weight. By going for a power walk for say 20-40 min every morning before breakfast for a start. Then do 20-30 mins after training. Drop your sugar intake from softdrinks and hot drinks. Use skim or no-fat milks and dairy products. Also stay away from food fried in oils unless it's MCT oil. Drop your starchy carbs through out the day and introduce more fiberous carbs as the day goes on. Also eat heaps of salads. Most of these foods are what is called negative calorie foods. Your body uses more calories to digest the food than the food contains. If you really clean up your diet first then the weight that you put on will mostly be quality, and you will find that once the cycle is complete the weight loss will be less. Good luck and I hope this has helped answer a few questions.
Hey thanks for the post. Basically everything you said is what I am planning. I was gonna do 20 mins cardio first thing in the AM and 20 mins cardio with my work out. Also I will only be drinking water and if I do add anything it would be Crystal Light.
I am planning a diet o fbasically Chicken breast, lean beef, brown rice, tilapia, brocolli, an sweet potatos.
So sounds like I may be on a good track. Thanks allot for your post
Hey mate it's my pleasure. I have also heard haven't confirmed it yet but apparently those artificial sweetners inhibit weight loss. As I said I can't confirm it but I want to get around to checking it out. All the best with it in the future
Anondon't bother with artificial sweetners the body doesn't recognize them and processes them as if it were sugar.. it will increase your cravings for sweet stuff .. if you must have something sweet do it in moderation.. I still put sugar in my coffee, I just don't drink ten cups of it.. balance and moderation are the keys.
Hey grrrrl check out the link. It's a study on artificial sweetners

Yes bro cardio always especially during cycle. As long as you dont over do it and eat enough youll be fine.
What would be "over doing it" haha. And again teh diet ive heard all kinds of stuff. I was thinking starting at 3500 calories and see what happens a few weeks in then bumping up if need be? Or should i plan higher and then work down if need be?
I would argue to put your energy into lifting heavy but make sure you use the cardio to warm up and cool down. Not an hour of hard spin class for example, unless you're into becoming a pro cyclist instead of a body builder.
Hit me with some stats bro.
I dont know my current stats other then 6 feet tall, ive been sitting at 230lbs. I have a friend at the gym that is going to do my measurments and BF% so I can see where im at. I know my BF% is way higher then it should be right now.
I cam PM with the stats tomorrow if you like.
Get your bf checked and if it's higher then 15% I'd advise you to drop it to that level before you cycle. You'll be fine doing 20min cardio and about your cal intake that is something you will have to figure out on your own. It all depends on bf, weight, activety level etc.
Good to know. Thanks man
No problem anytime brother.
