After my workouts I love hot showers, but after extreme training for a let's say a juijitsu competition, I like a ice bath followed with a hot shower... My body will be so inflamated and burning, only an ice cold bath will work..

I always thought sauna was best pre workout and ice baths post workout...but ol dude in the video stated its best not to use ice baths post workout but maybe something you use in the mornings...also said it increases mitochondria...not that i ever do em but I am a fan of saunas....my gym is currently adding a wet sauna so im pretty stoked about that!

. Ice baths, also known as cold water immersion or cold water therapy, can be an effective recovery method to flush out lactic acid, diminish muscle soreness, and leave athletes feeling fresh for their next training session. This recovery method is common amongst collegiate and professional athletes across a variety of sports.
Saunas promote muscle relaxation by helping to reduce muscle tension and eliminate lactic acid and/or other toxins that may be present
Each one works in different ways?
Ice will constrict blood flow in the extremities but promote it inside the organs where heat is needed?
