Do you think Jon Jones will be able to put on 40lbs before they fight?

Also, how do you see the outcome?

I see Jones getting knocked out in the second round...

Yes, he takes gear..

PhillyMelvin_Smelvin's picture

Yea but 40lbs is kinda unrealistic, I'm sure it's not his first cycle and he will have to come off before fight so I don't think it's doable...

Jones isn’t going to heavyweight. He has been saying that for years. He can’t compete at heavyweight. Now he has a fight with a guy at light heavyweight again. Told ya.

Jones by whatever he wants. Jones was able to takedown Cormier who was an Olympic alternate. He’ll
have no problem taking down Francis.

My initial instinct says; what makes you think he wants to take him down... Why wouldnt he dance on the outside from distance?

I think people underestimate the difference between a guy rhat walks around at 220/230 versus a guy who walks around at 260/270. Not super easy to take down an athletic person of that weight

But you might well be right. Jones is exceptional, agile and fast AF

Yeah I agree with taking down heavier opponents, especially trained in take down defense. Thats alot of energy spent just trying to control dominant positions with such a massive athlete. Jones has a heavyweight bone structure combined with multitude of skills that has always helped him dominate in the light heavyweight division. Not to mention he's a pretty smart fighter also..

Maybe...I picked Lomachenko to beat Lopez and that didnt play out so I could be wrong and Jones might submit Francis...I wonder what the odds are in Vegas.

I’ve seen Francis from -160 to -190 favorite. Jones has been steady at +150.

Hell yea...just need to start a btc gambling forum on here now!

I'm 100% Jones... The dude is a awesome athlete. Now theres no way in hell he could put on the size Ngannou has and his body be conditioned to fight at that level. Ngannou is no joke, heavyweight champ,, but he's only been fighting a short period. Jones has a great reach over Ngannou, but he's also use to fighting lighter. He needs to put 10lbs on, keep distance, pick him off and move. Don't get caught trying to take down till he starts to gas. Ngannou is one scary dude to be coming at ya.. Best of luck

Lol Jones is switching from what he got popped for, tbol, to Anadrol

PhillyMelvin_Smelvin's picture

I agree..i dont see it going the distance

Stan efferding is handling Jones’ bulk up phase and probably doing his water cut as well. (If they do water cuts for heavyweights?)

He’s a wealth of knowledge on the nutrition and training side. I use a lot of his vertical diet for my own and my clients progress. If you haven’t given it a look I recommend.

40lbs is a lot to pack on, at that weight you can probably play around with 10-12 lbs of water so let’s say he just needs to put on 30 and super hydrate. I can do that in 30 days on a heavy npp run, it won’t be pretty but I think it’s doable.

Jones is so ring-savvy, he will dance well and stay on the outside. I see cardio and speed winning here.
Its a really interesting fight.
One tap from Ngannou and it could be over for him... That's why he will stay well clear, take a decision or win in 4th/5th maybe...

PhillyMelvin_Smelvin's picture

Perhaps, I just feel like his cardio will suffer too much from his bulk he will lose his edge and get rocked.
Idk why but i just dont like Jon Jones...But I dislike Tyrone Woodley the most!

giardap's picture

Haha yep, i get it!
Look 1 touch from Ngannou and its lights out for most humans, so yep!

I hear you on Jones. He is a dickhead, but a phenom.

Me, Im a fight fan, not a fighter fan!
