Questions About a Training Program I've Found
Okay, so I found this program that suggests performing only compound movements to build mass/strength. That makes sense, yes. However, it was suggesting I go in the gym and perform ONE exercise each day. One day, go in and squat the whole time I'm in there. One day, bench. Then dead, military, row, etc. I am sure this would be pretty damn intense, but it sounds a bit insane as well. I have been trying to find something new to do to get some strength gains (certain body parts are growing stale with the normal 4-day split), and I can imagine squats or deads for 45 min straight would make a man out of me one way or another. I am thinking about giving it a go for 8 weeks or so just to see whether I get stronger or just pass out in my own vomit one day and die. Any powerlifters here who could comment? Or any bodybuilders who have trained in a similar manner? Thanks in advance for your input.

it is almost impossible to maintain intensity this way. not enough variation and high chance of injury imo. I do a compound movement every workout day ie powerbodybuilding. I tried Russian volume training for a while and it helped improve my bench but I think it is only good for short term to break through barriers. Elite power-lifters have assistance work for a reason. If you are an intermediate level lifter (less than 2X bodyweight on squat and deadlift) go for it I say. For an advanced lifter training this way would be far too taxing on the central nervous system. Go for it though it may work for you!
Thanks, man. Yeah, I'm still pretty new to all this. My lifts aren't that heavy. I guess I'll give it a shot for a few weeks just to see how it goes. If I feel like it's nonsense after a few weeks, I'll go back to a normal split.
