Pectoral muscle imbalance

ad

Right.
My right pectoral is smaller in size than my left. My left is clearly dominant and bigger and more rounded and evenly built. Whereas my right is stronger but smaller and lacks even mass.

Anyone got any ideas to balance this issue out?

I had this problem for a long time and have recently been working on correcting it. For me the key has been in really feeling, squeezing and contracting on that smaller side. Really working that mind muscle connection has made it come up fast actually. I had more luck initially getting that "feeling" using the Hammer Stregth style incline chest press machine. That thing has been my savior for learning to feel my chest work and that has been the key to getting it to start growing.

I have the same issue. It's only a little noticeable (mainly to me of course) so I mainly use dumbbells. Same, right arm stronger, left pec fuller size. I usually do a few extra reps on one say (same with arm stuff due to left arm smaller) and it seems to be working out. Slowly but surely.

I've tried a variety of different exercises. Tried adding a small amount of weight more on the lagging side. I've tried dumbbell press, flyes, dips etc.

I think its more than an imbalance in my pec. I think its probably due to other muscle groups being more dominant. My right arm is stronger than my left and so that might be the reason. My right arm can take the weight and my left can't. And so my left pec is getting more of a workout. I don't know for sure.

I'll have to do some research on it. Thanks for your help.
