I’ve always thought it was a vertical jump with the arms up at the end too, idk about the effectiveness of beating on your abs to make them tougher/harder Incase of getting shanked
Those burpees take weeks to get your muscles trained to be able to go for a long number, of your lifting heavy weights it’s kind of opposite of these, at least if your going for 500, they are great at the end of a heavy lifting workout for cardio purposes. I’m not going to get into details what I did for the military, but the last time I was able to get 500 was years ago. You have to be in “in dock,” shape to get that many, or in prison I guess. Anywho, thanks for posting, great workout for the current climate of the world.
Shoot I don’t mean in a row. Training twice a day, we were doing 250 before sunlight and 250 after sunlight. Maybe for a week or so. That was peak week.
Fuck those things, I feel like throwing up just looking at them.
We used to do those in the military, its a damn good work out your body starts to feel like a lead weight after a while though.
They kinda did them wrong, your supposed to jump when you stand back up that is like the hardest part.

I use to do some as part of a warm up before hitting the bags in my garage yrs ago. They are hard. My knees and shoulders couldn't handle them now.
I’ve heard these are bad on the back too
Probably about 10 Lol - They look pretty awful
About how many I got before being gassed myself LOL

500 burpees , I think even a Navy Seal would have a hard time with that. We knocked out 150 once in Battalion and we were all puking.
150 is a LOT I’d puke too

Yea I hope the media has is wrong, I hope we have peaked.
Probably not 500 that would take some serious endurance
I can burpee the entire alphabet
