ad
Hey Eroids nation-
Back in gym after long hiatus and the Prop kinda got me a little over confident-
Was doing leg presses - felt awesome till last set with 9 on each side-
Felt little pull at base near my ass-
Continued on and now a little sore in low back when walking?
Completed legs no prob- little sore though
Thoughts? Prayers? Suggestions?

Your lower back is nothing to mess around with I blew it out 13 years ago doing squats and have never been the same ever since. Since the first time I have blown it out 4 times doing everyday things. Each time it laid me up in bed for a week and out of the gym for over a month. My first piece of advice take a week off and let your back heal, you don't want to aggravate it. Second stretch your lower back everyday before training, especially leg day, and last wear a belt.
Pretty sure it is just a strain. Sounds like you may have got a bit loose on your form that last set. Especially if you accidentally arched your back a rep or two. I suggest you need to get a good long stretches going on. Burn through some ibuprofen, grab a hot towel or heating pad. Give yourself a chance to recoup. Good luck, if all else fail go check out your doc.
thx Wdoc- Hate to have anything slow me down and I ur exaclty right- I let the heavy one take me off form- now I know NEVER let that happen again!
peace
The leg press can really strain the lower back. Whenever you're on the leg press, make sure you keep your butt all the way in the bottom of the seat and your back flat against the seat back. Sometimes when I get really into it I will bring my legs too far back, lifting butt, and causing that issue. Unless it's really bad, you should heal fine. Just be careful next time. You can even try throwing on a squat belt for extra support in your next session
g13- thanks for the response.
Never happened to me before- I think I was so jacked up that I didnt even begin to feel it for an hour or so after leaving gym- Im not in excruciating pain, but it is tight and pretty sure it was the Press.
Not gonna let that happen again. Im not 24yrs old anymore-
peace
Trust me, I get it. Happened to me a few weeks back. Don't sweat it, three or four days and it should take care of itself
Cool- thx
i like the belt when going heavy, the compression seems to help me out.
@Arock: i suggest you man the fk up! jk, take some aleve and ice it 20min on/20min off as often as possible. go 60% your next back day and see how you tolerate it. if you arent feeling sore afterwards add more next time.
lvlup- manningthe fk up is what got me in this effin mess! lol
Im sure Ill be fine. I am a stickler for form, but let a few reps get away from me.
Its that damn Prop- got me feeling I can lift the entire gym off the floor.
peace
You should be fine, but to be on the safe side if you have insurance go to your doctor. It could help but you may have pulled a muscle. I've pulled my ass cheek before and I thought I had an infection .... Overall, I'd go to doctor if I had insurance otherwise just heat pad or ice. Take a nice shower too.
thanks bro- I have hurt my back before and this aint that- just really tight low back and tight walking. I let last few reps get away from me.
thx for your response-
