Spot just enough to keep the bar moving or get past a sticky point. Once you touch the bar the set is over.
I like just enough to get past sticking points...you can cause injury when you start twisting and turning trying for the forced rep....partner needs to know how much to give. Its a preference thing really, but theres no value in letting the weight stay stagnant midway as you push for dear life.
Thank you somtimes I feel like im stuck mid rep when being spotted. So being fluent is key but to push hard as possible
As soon as your form is compromised due to the struggle, you increase risk of injury.
That's really a question for you partner. Most people seem to want just enough to keep it moving - basically one forced rep at the end.
True say! I should say id like to know how much he should spot me for growth.whe. He spots me seems like he really makes me work hard for those extra reps compared to when I spot him reps go up at same pace until he fails comppletly?
