+ 1 Making use of leftovers

ad

Alright so I know times can be tough so stretching the dollar becomes a big thing for me. Especially in regards to food, I hate to see anything go to waste.

With that being said something’s the kid eats if they aren’t eating it to the trash it goes cause I’m not eating anything within my approved cut foods.

But when the wife doesn’t eat all of her steak I’m totally stoked to take it cut it up and leave it in the fridge for the next morning breakfast. This morning I was pumped to add a little ribeye to the eggs, definitely should’ve went more egg whites but time was crunched and I ran out of beaters I’ll just avoid fats the rest of the day.

But what are recipes or ingredients that you use to clean out the fridge or make that dollar stretch?

I meal prep my food, so I don’t have left overs. Then I cook breakfast/lunch/dinner as one offs for my wife and daughter. So I don’t have left overs, per se, but what I cook is determined by what random assortment of raw ingredients I have left over from cooking previous meals. It’s definitely expanded my culinary abilities having to get creative with random ingredients.

Fuck yes it is as @Infidel said noodles are necessary but brown rice works well as a replacement as I’ve found
