Greek yogurt misconception

ad

I noticed a big surge in greek yogurt finding its way into many peoples diets. Greek yogurt in and of itself is not a bad choice, but when you purchase the ones that taste like dessert well guess what, there's a reason they taste like dessert. There's a pretty large amount of simple carbs in the fuity yogurts. Some add sugars aswell. If your really watching your carbs the plain greek yogurt with some of your fresh fruits may be a better choice.

Yea agreed, thing is, there are a lot of people that think just cause it says greek yogurt there doing their diet a solid. There's a lot of dietary misconceptions, like low fat, yada yada, but unless your buying all natural foods you too can become misconceived.

Yes sir...I buy "FAGE" all-natural PLAIN 2% Greek yogurt. Only carbs in it are some lactose(milk sugar) carbs that are always going to be in dairy products...NOT added sweetener sugars for flavor. The only thing..is that yogurt gives me the stinkiest farts...I don't know why, so I save it for maybe only once or twice/week, usually for one of my mid-morning snacks here and there.

Yup, I get some bad gas aswell. I put flax pumpkin seed granola on mine with bannana. Timing really is the real deal with diet though. Early after.ion is when I get my yogurt.

if you aren't careful and are at work or something, let a some of that gas fly and it'll stick to your pants for HOURS, LOL!!!! Walk around most of the day smelling like you need a shower...like the walking dead, lol..hahahahaha.

Bwaahaha that was me this weekend. I dropped one in the car before going into the restraunt and when the wife and I opened the door a good half hour later it was still lingering. I'm pretty sure she was impressed with that haha

Yup, the "Blueberry" or "Key Lime Pie" can have 20G of sugar or more in 5.3oz Plain is the way to go. I'll use the blueberry yogurt over pancakes for a cheat meal or something

Its a lot of what a guys goals are, but I see some people buying the stuff thinking its like a diet pill. There goals are clear and their missing the label on the back as you pointed out. 20 g is a lot for a guy trying to put as much quality food in their body as possible. The house wives probably see that its good for you on Dr. Oz or some talk show and then they go buy the stuff out thinking its gonna get them back in their means from high school.
