Food suggestions.

ad

Just thought that maybe you guys could share some go-to healthy eating recipes or suggestions? Bonus points for simplicity and minimizing the amount of dishes used because I hate doing dishes. Haha! I like to eat clean and eat to grow, but I’m far from being a chef. Smoothie ideas are definitely welcome too!

For me, I like to cook chicken boobs in the instant pot. After I cook the chicken, I’ll make a batch of brown rice in the instant pot. I do this 2x week. I’ll usually switch between a variety of mustards when I eat my chicken and rice for some added flavor. Flavor of the week this week is Chinese hot mustard. I usually microwave a sweet potato too. Just put some cinnamon on it.

I make a lot of egg whites as well and usually eat those with an avocado. I dab some tobasco on top for some flavor.

Just thought it’d be nice to try some different things out. Thanks in advance!

One of my favorite snacks that I can make easily and eat on the go is apple cinnamon rice cakes smothered in almond butter. This is one of my “between meal” snacks to give me some fuel and the almond butter helps with the calories and healthy fats. Anyways...as far as meals since that’s what ya asked for loll, my bad:
-jasmine rice and canned tuna or salmon. Mix it up and add some veggies, sauces, or citrus type flavors to make it “more” than just canned fish. My wife just did a tuna salad with a buncha citrus flavors and coriander and it was delicious
-instapot chicken- chix breast, diced onions, peppers etc and a bottle of your favorite bbq sauce and one can or bottle of Coca Cola (the old kind with cane sugar). I don’t even drink soda at all but that recipe is killer
-we have a pellet smoker so a lot of our meat ends up on there. If ya don’t have one or don’t wanna spend the money, you can still get some good smoky flavor using chunks of soaked wood mixed with your charcoal . Never underestimate something simple like a good burger either
-if ya like seafood, check out some ceviche recipes. Once it’s made and in the fridge, grab ya a Tupperware and go! Really refreshing on a summer day too
-homemade jalapeño poppers with little slivers of quality red meat on top with cream cheese. Grill em up. Speaking of that, if ya like salmon...grill or cook some salmon filets and blend em up with cream cheese. Awesome snack for dipping. I usually end up just eating it by the spoonfuls lol.
-chix breast , veggie, and a side of cranberry sauce and blue cheese dressing mixed. Don’t judge, I like random creations lol. That’s one of my favorites. I’ll do it with one of those cheap grocery store rotisserie chickens too
I won’t go into the rest cuz I’m an avid outdoorsman so we eat a lot of wild game too. Black bear, trout, deer, duck, etc. Hell we ate more bear meat from November to February than we did beef or chicken lol. Oh that reminds me...pickled eggs with a buncha garden veggies and some hot peppers thrown in! Cheers dude. Awesome thread

dab some Tabasco on top

I put that shit on everythang!!

My morning eggs. Low carb.. chopped red bell pepper, baby spinach, broccoli... 4eggs scrabbled with Tabasco sauce. (323cals/28p/7c/19f). If u want to knock calories in half but keep the protein, take the fat out by using egg whites.

Get an air fryer
Shit is a game changer

No need to suffer. Find some comfort foods that you love and then recreate them with the macros you need. Example, say you like chicken wings, use chicken breast, bake them and use a sauce that won’t throw off your macros.

I have done this for almost every meal I know

Hello everyone i hope all is well. I was wanting to ask what are the best vegtables to eat and the worst to eat and why ?

Here’s some things we do weekly in our food prep
4lbs clean ground beef,2 lbs lean ground turkey
We make either meatloaf, meatballs, burgers , or taco meat from this
Family pack chikn boobs
We make crockpot shredded taco chikn, or chikn bites with peepers onions, cut the boob in half and pound out cook on the flat top
1 large bag of talapia
1large bag salmon fillets...cooked on the smoker
4lbs red potatoes
3cups uncooked brown rice
Mixed veggies
Supersize bag frozen broccoli
Mix n match any way you like in meal containers...usually get 25 meals and a few leftovers...
Takes us about 3 hrs or so to cook and pack and about 1 hr to prep but we don’t cook all week except bfast so it’s a good trade off

Haha...it’s for me and the wife but,....we have an18 yr old troll in the house that eats EVERYTHING!...he’s heading off to college in a few months so our food prep will finally last us a week!

I eat the often boring, simple, cheap tuna(starkist selecti n cans) and hard boiled eggs. Oh yeah, lots of peanut butter and oatmeal. It's on come friday night though. My point is, sometimes I would rather not have to over think it and keep it simple. When i try and get fancy it might not happen at all.

Might have too, I've never really had grits I dont think.

Is a plethora like a horn of plenty? Or is it the after birth that some people eat?
