Anybody know bangin' halibut recipes?
ad
I am looking around for some over the top and EASY halibut recipes, I guess all would be easy as I know halibut doesn't take long to cook. I am kinda sick of finding all these recipes that have "crusts" or "breading" or some kind of goopy sauces...I just want something light with some veggies and black beans or similar concoction, herbs too of course. Does it sound difficult? I know there has to be some out there!!! Thanx gang!

OE2000Take some store bought Italian dressing, or whatever is your favorite, put your fish/dressing in a ziplock and let marinade for 4-6 hours. I usually add fresh garlic, thyme, or whatever I have around. Sear on the grill 2 minutes per side. I really like roughy using this method. Serve with black beans, cilantro and brown rice... yummy!
Check out how much sodium is in that dressing... Salt makes me bloat.
I take frozen fillets throw in preheated skillet w/ evoo and minced garlic, then while the fish is browning I cut up green pepper, jalepeno, fresh cilantro, and package of mushrooms sliced up... I season fish on one side w/ cayenne pepper, black pepper and garlic. Flip fish add veggies on top n just let em steam there for about 5min then I eat that sh*t up... I eat this w/ a large salad and a can of no salt green beans.
Anymore...I'll take a hundred if they're out there!! No Offense taken I hope, Tex!
TxBigBoyHaha I'm actually hoping other people chim in cause I love a new recipe.
Sorry man...I'm here, there and everywhere 2day...had to go pick up some "hardware" for the run I'm startin!
HMMM...sounds good man. Thanks for the quick response, I was leaning toward cooking the fish 2nite!
TxBigBoyNo prob bro, halibut is my favorite. I like it with some asparagus and red potatoes
TxBigBoySeason it with a little garlic salt and pepper, and pan sear it in a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. You wanna heat the oil up before you add the vinegar, it will give it a nice color as well.
