According to the above link, there is a good chance that once you start taking levothyroxin, you will have to take it for the remainder of your life. I am looking out for you, bro. If you want to fuck yourself up, go on ahead.

If you have to ask a question like this without even thinking to lookup the compound on WebMD, you have no business taking that substance. Levothyroxine is nothing to fool around with. It can indefinitely throw your thyroid out of whack, usually leading to excessive weight gain. And not the good kind. Sometimes it can do even worse.

Don't use that stuff, SERIOUSLY. It doesn't matter what the so-called pros are taking. Leave that shit alone.

I understand. Levotiron by Abdi Ibrahim is not listed on WebMD.

Levotiron is just the brand name. The actual compound - Levothyroxine Sodium - remains the same whether taking a generic form or not.

You're right, but every brand compounds medicines differently. For example, Euthyrox contains along with levothyroxine, the following ingredients:

Maize starch
Croscarmellose sodium
Gelatine
Lactose monohydrate
Magnesium stearate

Others contain different ingredients and I just can't seem to find what Levotiron contain.

If you would read any of the links I provided, you would find the same active ingredients for the brand name you requested information about. And the least of your concerns should be whether the compound you're thinking of taking contains Maize starch, Croscarmellose sodium, Gelatine, Lactose monohydrate, Magnesium stearate.

Bro, I have to ask, are you a fucking troll? Are you seriously concerned about Gelatine and Magnesium Stearate? What the fuck?!

Edit: It is obvious you don't give a shit about what you are going to do to yourself. Have fun destroying your thyroid or killing yourself, asshole!

He knows the active ingredient is exactly the same in different brands. What he's asking is for a list of ingredient in a specific brand because each different brand has a different list of other ingredients, most of the time 80-90% of the ingredients will be the same sometimes from brand to brand they will be exactly the same but not always. And these do make a difference. I was on a Med that you took sublingual. One brand didn't break down as well I could feel I was getting less from the same doses when I switched to this brand and second this certain brand gave me a headache within 15 mins of taking my dose everytjme. I went back to the old brand and no more headache, and I could feel I was getting my correct dose again. I looked st the ingredients and they were different and one of those was giving me a headache.

I realize what you are saying. My stance is no should be using any form of Levothyroxine ever. Even if he takes a brand that agrees with him on an allergenic level, IMO the risks outweigh the benefits. I know someone who used Levothyroxine and didn't need it. They went into hypothermia and had to be rushed to the hospital. That stuff is no joke!

You tried to warn him, he doesn't care. Let natural selection take its course.

Good one 'Bro'

heroinpuppet's picture

I understand. The reason why the ingredients are important to me is because I have a strong allergy to gelatin.

Christophany's picture

I get that. What I am saying is, you should be as equally as concerned about what the active compound can do to you. I apologize for jumping the gun and throwing out the insults, but I am here to help you. I don't want to see anyone fooling around with Levothyroxine.

Clearly I am not getting the same results as you. Could you please share the link?

Thank a lot -, I have looked there before but it is not what I need. Looking or the exact ingredients that go into Levotiron.
